Losing the hang

So, how do you get rid of the overhang after having a baby?
And all the flabby skin?
I used to be 10.5stone. I went up to 15stone during pregnancy, and came out at 12.5stone. Got down to 12stone just through walking and healthier eating. But this belly overhang is driving me nutty!! I've never had this before (obviously) and I'm wondering if it'll go flat again? And how to do it? I still look 6months pregnant.
Help?

Sorry to say but you may never. My stomach has never been flat after pregnancy and DS is nearly 17. My skin doesn't have normally elasticity, it didn't "ping" back. At best it's just wrinkly.

It’s partly posture, core strength and pelvic floor, lengthening and strengthening. Your stomach will sit differently. And partly hormonal, which is impacted by sleep deprivation, muscle mass and stress. You don’t say how long post partum you are but sleep deprivation and stress are hard to avoid during the early years. Go easy on yourself.

@DelilahBucket So did it go down though? Like, do you still look pregnant? I can handle the stretch marks and being wrinkly, it's this sag it's got.

@BakeOffRewatch I'm 13 weeks PP. My belly just doesn't seem to be going down, it's got the overhang going on on the sides of it.

I know this is my new body, but I'd like to somehow make myself not appear pregnant. lol.

@Hdp24 well no I don't look pregnant, but I do have a permanent rounder shape, it isn't flat, and the saggy and wrinkly skin doesn't hide well under some clothes. When I say wrinkly I don't mean just stretch marks, it's all dimpled.
13 weeks is still very early days for you post partum. Just concentrate on being as healthy as you can and at a later date lose the weight.

It can take 2 years for your internal organs to go back to where they were. Try mum and baby Pilates or postnatal conditioning classes. Strength training will help hormonal regulation. Honestly it’s really hard work to rebuild your body post partum , and it’s hormonal, not just about eating and weight loss, the hormonal changes are bigger than menopause, straight after you’ve had your baby. Yes I achieved it 3 years post partum but that was once my child was sleeping through the night and I was training a lot. Before that I was training a lot whilst I had broken sleep and yes my stomach was the same whilst the rest of me looked toned and lean.
