Is this an unhealthy way to lose weight

I’m something like 12 stone and 5ft 2. To be honest the last time I weighed myself was about 4 years ago but I don’t see a difference in my size and I haven’t changed my lifestyle or diet much. I don’t know how sustainable it is for me but starting a few weeks ago I only snack on oat cakes and peanut butter or a banana if I’m desperate - but I am now also having home made desert of some kind after dinner which I should probably stop. I only have breakfast, lunch and dinner and my portions are considered small. I fill up on tea. I haven’t woken in time to have breakfast, should I skip it or should I eat more lunch to make up for it

I'm same height as you and I'm 10st 8. I would like to lose a stone. Best thing to do is track your calories and up your protein and fibre.
Add protein to every meal, add fruit or veg to every meal. Drink lots of water. Do you exercise? How old are you?
Up to you if you have breakfast, are you hungry in the mornings?
What time are you waking up that means you can't have breakfast?
Peanut butter and banana are fine but high in calories

Actually banana isn't, ignore that!

I’d checking the calories in oat cakes and peanut butter that sounds like a 200cal+ snack…some of my meals are 300

the homemade desserts might be fine but could easily be 600 cals…who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

it doesn’t sound unsustainable but I’d question how much weight you’ll lose

I would just give up snacks between meals its the only thing that worked for me . I’d eat roughly the same amount of food each day but have 4-6 hours between meals and only ate when i felt really hungry . I just added my snacks onto meals as a dessert and I lost 2 stone in a year doing this

I'm a little shorter than you and 18 months ago started loosing weight. I went from a size 14/16 to a 6 and am now maintaining. My biggest shock was learning how little calories I needed just to maintain. Pop your statistics into a calorie calculator to work out what you need (my maintenance is only 1400). Then document everything you eat, you can tell if you are eating too much and adapt accordingly. I found the easiest thing to do was remove snacks and delay breakfast. I only have a pudding as a treat and nolonger regular thing.

Track your calories on an app. I like nutracheck. It is very easy to use. I'm 5 ft. I won't tell you my weight. It's awful, but since 18th August, I have lost 10.5 lbs tracking calories. I'm eating around 1600 calories a day. The weight didn't go on overnight, so it won't all fall off overnight

I don’t think you will lose much weight if you snack between meals , especially if you are having 3 meals a day + pudding .
