High protein breakfast

I’m trying to up my protein uptake but struggle with breakfast as I don’t like eggs, milk (or milk substitutes), porridge, yoghurt or avocado. Any ideas for a healthy breakfast?

Smoothie with protein powder? Tofu scrambles? Kippers?

Breakfast as first meal of the day doesn’t have to be eggs/ cereal/toast. Could you try having something that would be more often thought of as a lunch or dinner? Or would that be a step too far?

I'd skip breakfast and have a proper brunch:

Smoked salmon
Lentils - in a salad or as dahl or with quinoa
Tuna/salad nicoise
Crab cake or chicken and mixed salad
Mackerel/oily fish and steamed or roasted vegetables

Just a few top of mind ideas!

I love the Weetabix protein crunch chocolate cereal for breakfast, a big bowl with skimmed milk is around 16g protein. Lidl / Aldi also do some nice protein pancake mixes that are easy enough made, 19g protein per serving.

Or baked oats - I blend oats, greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, banana and egg together, bake in the oven and top with some chocolate chips. Adds up to around 23g protein.

Cheese. Croissants typically have 5g of protein, some begals are an even better source of protein and you can get high protein bread in some places. The easiest option though of course is protein shakes.
