Anyone stopped Wegovy/injectables then re-started 2/3 months later?

I've been on Wegovy for 4-5 months, Ozempic prob the same amount of time before that. Not losing any weight (and i have 20kg/ 3 dress sizes to lose) Have followed the proper doses throughout, but had to have a couple of short breaks at various points. I lost a few kilos at the start and they have curbed my appetite BUT - I emotionally overeat, rather than due to hunger. If anything the tiredness/ queasiness of the jabs has made me want to reach for sugar for energy sometimes.

So my question is this - if I stop for a while, then start again (maybe Mounjaro this time) and throw myself into it, could that work as a re-set? I am signed up to start at a new local gym opening in September, so am feeling motivated. I know I can't switch straight from high dose wegovy to mountjaro, so thought a break and new start might help.

Has anyone done this and lost weight? I'm wondering if Mounjaro might just work better for me than wegovy. I am so disapointed as i thought this could be the answer - and have seen three friends lose substantial weight on it (before you lecture me I have tried everything over the years to do this sensibly - have done three types of eating therapy, hypnosis, had PTs, signed up to loads of diff training programs over the years and sometimes lost a lot and i am knowledgeable about food/diet/exercise - but mainly I just sabotage with snacking. go figure)

Please tell me your hopeful stories of success!

I think the ‘secret to success’ with anything is consistency. From your post you seem to have zig zagged around stopping and starting loads of fads. I think also even on the jabs, it’s going to get hard and be boring and sometimes stagnant and take time to see results but you have to ride that wave. Constantly doing a reset in the future will not unlock a magic key to success. Use your motivation now to make small changes and perhaps build up to making big commitments, little steps often is more sustainable than big major changes all in one go. Don’t look at other people and compare either. It’s taken me 18 months to lose my weight and I’ve had setbacks and hard times you need to keep going, not look for something new. By all means try MJ but you need to decide to stick to something long term and see it through to get the result you want, maybe this is trying new things but you don’t need to keep resetting. Start something now! Go for a long brisk walk every day, you don’t even need a gym. Good luck

I agree consistency is key. I wouldnt say I've zigzagged around and followed fads - the efforts I named above were over a 30 + year period in total, most of which were done steadily and heathily. But for some reason none has 'stuck' long term. Used to keep weight in check with exercise but time is seriously limited since becoming a single parent/working full time and it been creeping up since then

I stopped for three months due to finances and gained over a stone, it's taken me from may till now to lose that again. I wouldn't stop again

@mustwashmycurtains I could only comment on how it came across, I think you might be chasing diets and exercise plans to find something that kind of unlocks something you haven’t found yet, you are not alone, this is the same for most people on the boards. If you accept that something is going to be a challenge, and you need to stick with it to get to your goal you kind of need to make peace with the commitment. It is hard with kids which is why I don’t think anyone needs to sign up to gyms or PT’s, you can be flexible with what you are doing around your life and it can be less stressful. I work a lot of hours so I found being indoors at the gym was depressing. So I get outside as much as I can and walk and walk, rain or early mornings or when I can fit it in. You can tweak your situation to your needs and find gaps of time

Stop wasting your time and money. You don't need to do any of this.
Calorie deficit and try and get in as many steps as you can in a day. I pay a premium on nutra check, I paid a tenner for three months. It's super efficient for logging your calories. That's all you need to do.
And come to an acceptance that weight loss is a long term commitment and it's going to be uncomfortable, that's where success lies. There are no quick and healthy fixes to get you there quicker.
