Getting back on track after holiday weight gain.

I've been on a bit health kick this year losing just over 3st to get to a healthy weight of 10:12 for my height of 5'7, and age 54.

Achieved by a calorie reduction, CrossFit and talking up running.

Actually got just under goal which I thought put me in good stead for my weeks holiday to Devon.

However I have been undone by cream trays, pasties and let's just call yesterday Costa-gate!

So plucked up the courage to get the scales out and weighed in at 11:2, a full 6.6lbs on.

I have yo-yoed before and this could easily be a slippery slope so am holding myself accountable to get back to goal. Have a meal out, work drinks and a weekend with friends coming up so doing my level best to undo as much of the weight gain as I can this week.

If anyone is trying to get back on track after their hols please join me ☺️

That's 4lb, not 6.6lb.

I've just lost 2st and more to go. I'm expecting my holiday to be a set back but never mind I'll just keep going 😀

I have just got back from holiday and don't even have the courage to step on the scales to see the damage yet!

I am planning a week of healthy eating then I might take a look..

4 pounds@Alainlechat not 6.6 pounds. Just forget it and get back to health kick.

So I was 10:9.4 before I went, I was a couple of pounds under my goal.

I am capable of seeing scales go up 4lbs overnight after a large meal so I am hoping it's some weight gain is from water/salt and some from excess over the holiday.

We'll see this week.

Could it be a lot of water weight? When I eat sugary things I get a lot of water retention which disappears after a few days of healthy eating again.

Get back to what you were doing before and you'll loose it in a couple of weeks.

Well done on your weight loss, really impressive!

Well I'm not really expecting that I put on a pound each day with an excess of 3500 calories, I was counting roughly 2000-2500 but with less exercise than usual. And ate too much last night..

Main thing for me is to get back to goal and then look to maintain.
