Is it time to try Wegovey?

So tired of trying to lose weight. Recently I tried slimming world but (and I feel like it’s an excuse) I am vegetarian and find it hard to feel full after meals especially as sometimes they don’t have alot of protein. So just can’t stick to it!

My BMI is 32, feel a bit self conscious, I know I’d feel better with 10kg off. I used to be lighter but I used to do a lot more exercise. Now I’m up at 5:30am with my 18 month old (me and dh, just impossible to sleep through her wake up). Get the kids ready for school, school run, work 9-5 pick up kids, kids tea and bedtime, we’re all done by 8:30pm and last thing I have energy for is a workout.

I get a lot of cravings, a lot of food noise, and unless I’m on it in terms of meal prep I’ll need last minute things too so eat easy things that aren’t very good for you.
And I have PCOS. Both my parents are diabetic now, my Dad since his 50’s (although his BMI is 24, i swear he must have a male version of PCOS as he is just obviously unlucky with him diabetes as otherwise he’s a fit and healthy guy).

I don’t know whether just to try it? My worries are any health risks that aren’t probably understood yet, and a little bit “what’s the point if you put it all back on after.”

I was 10-12kg lighter when I got married and felt much more comfortable in how I looked. I’ve been trying for years and most recently trying for months and lost 4kg and put 2kg back on. Is it time to try it?

I think it's way too worrying unless you're morbidly obese and you have related health issues. It's like vaping, we just don't know enough about it. I've been reading all the threads here and some of the side effects sound horrendous.

I know. I think I’m going to leave it and by the time it may help me medically (PCOS sufferers are much more prone to diabetes and with my family history can’t see I’ll avoid it) hopefully there will be more robust evidence on its long term safety.

GLP-1 meds have been around for 20 years now. They aren’t as new as people are making them out to be. We have 20 years worth of data. The increase in thyroid and pancreatic cancer has only been seen in rats, not humans.

Personally, I’ve been using Mounjaro for 10/11 weeks now and I’ve lost 2 stone as of today. I’ve had no side effects. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.

I’d really advise for you to continue researching to see if it is right for you.

Ive got pcos & started mounjaro nearly 3 months ago & have lost 2 stone. Still about 4 to go. The only side effect I have is to feel a bit nauseous for the first day or so after taking a new dose amount (so only in week 1 of a 4 week pen).

It's been fantastic & well worth the money I'm paying for it. It has completely switched off my hunger & food noise which I didn't think was possible. I sometimes have to force myself to eat which is a first for me.

I think its rightly called a game changer & would recommend it to anyone who needs help tolose weight.

Try Mounjaro rather than Wegovy. More effective and fewer side effects. It’s life changing.
