Hello! I started a thread like this a few years ago and I found it sooooo so so helpful and managed to lose a stone and keep it off, however recently that has crept back on so I thought I’d start another thread!

So starting tomorrow I’ll aim to post a photo of every single thing that passes my mouth except from tea!! I just think it helps keep me accountable. I have a really big appetite and find it very easy to be in a calorie surplus if I don’t log calories, even though I hardly eat any processed food anymore! But i do currently have a good relationship with food (used to be very much in the binge/restrict cycle but got over this by stopping restricting too much)

i tend to avoid gluten and processed foods due to a sensitivity to gluten, and also cut down on added sugars last year just trying to look after my health! I used to have the sweetest tooth but strangely don’t miss sugar that much! I mainly eat vegetarian but very occasionally eat meat/fish!

I’m about a size 10 now and 5 foot 6, so I know I’m not overweight but I just feel more comfortable with less body fat and about a stone lighter!

currently doing 1 PT session and 2 group gym classes a week, focused on strength training, I’m also trying to do 2/3 x 5k runs a week. Aiming for 20k steps a day. As I said I just find it sooo hard to restrict food much atm so I’d rather burn more calories through exercise and be able to eat more! I don’t currently have scales so I’m gonna go more off how clothes feel/fit than the weight!

I’m going to aim for a calorie deficit of 250-600 calories a day!

All the food photos make me smile! We had homemade sushi for dinner, first time everything from scratch, because after my last order from our favourite Japanese shop we finally have wasabi powder and all the ingredients we needed to mix the sushi vinegar ourselves.

I made dashi yesterday night and used the leftover kombu for salad today and dashi to cook rice. Kimchi is also homemade, I eat it instead of pickled ginger.

For some reason I can only add three images at once. Second photo- in the making.

Tomorrow is a picnic for lunch, dinner will be baked potato with cheese, salad and cheese and onion crisp bake.
Picnic will be a sandwich (I don't eat butter so I have plain bread), quorn chicken slices, and sliced tomato, maybe some lettuce. I don't like sauce either 🤣. At least it keeps the cals low! I'll have crisps and fruit with it also.
I don't always eat such uninspiring things, but food isn't a huge focus for me (thanks Saxenda!) so I don't feel the need to make fancy dishes at the minute. I do like new recipes to try though so I'll be relying on you lot for that!

I also had cheesecake today, found the most reasonable approximation because it had quite a lot of cake and less cheese than expected.
I put in the swimming pool activity as aqua aerobic at half the time we were there, as there was no option of “race around the premises covering three water slides and a jump”. Also did LesMills Functional Strength.

Hopefully attaching most of my day. I’m trying to increase my iron and protein and reduce carbohydrate. Didn’t do so well today and also went over.

We were out and about today so lunch was again a salad buffet from the local ICA supermarket. I guestimated the exact contents and amounts but the total weight including lid and box was 420g

It’s my meat-eating day so dinner was homemade steak tartare with beetroot salad and kimchi on the side. Beef comes from one of the local farms with cows grazing outside the whole year and I needed to find a close match in my app. We buy a 30 kilo box of portioned an packed bits and then go through it slowly.

Treats for today were high fiber/no sugar gummies and low sugar milk matcha boba tea with tapioca pearls. I’m not happy with my protein intake for today, way over the limit I’m trying to stay at. It’s my recovery day so just stretching and foam rolling. I do LesMills Stretch and I also roll with them.

Hahaha @Fudgetheparrot that’s so funny you remember/were thinking of it!! Omg I was addicted to the stuff 🤣🤣🤣 sorry about that lol however I still truly believe a teaspoon of biscoff spread snazzes up anything!! only Reason I don’t have it now is the wheat! was that thread that introduced me to microwaved apples and pears which I was obsessed with until my microwave broke recently!

Today has absolutely not been a standard day of eats , but I snacked on corn cakes and almond butter while out all day with work.. absolutely shocking quantities 😬😬 I need to remember not to order more than one tub of almond butter in the shop (even if the nice stuff is on offer), because eating 2 tubs in a day is frankly ridiculous (I ate one while out and about but then was ravenous when I got home and had the taste on my lips so cracked open another one 😬😬) then 2 of my bfs chips and a gin and slimline tonic when out for a friends birthday in the evening 😅 also a really crap sleep but hopefully tonight I’ll catch up..

Unusual breakfast for me, kids love these sausages. Sprouts are red cabbage and sprouted by yours truly in a jar. Happy Sunday everyone!

Dinner is wok stuff and brown rice cooked in dashi. I’m addicted to getting as much umami as possible out of rice. The entry in Japanese is rice.
