I know its probably on here somewhere but some quick questions if anyone with experience can help.

  1. Do you really need to be on them for life?
  1. Can you drink alcohol and caffeine?
  1. Does it hurt?

Thanks anyone who can help.

Morning can’t help with the first question but

Yes you can drink alcohol and caffeine but be mindful that alcohol contains empty calories and regular consumption may derail your weight loss attempts.

absolutely does not hurt. It’s a tiny needle that injects only into your skin so nothing like a vaccination

No you don't need to be on them for life but just like any other diet once you have lost the weight you need to find a way of maintaining. Slowly weaning off the jabs and learning to do it on your own. There are some encouraging studies showing that only a small proportion gain back all the weight one year after stopping which so I'm optimistic that it could be more effective then other methods and the changes in your diet on the drugs are effective semi long term afterwards.

Yes you can drink alcohol and caffeine. Many have found that actually they lose their desire for booze though. There's lots of anecdotal evidence that people find it helps kick addictions (food being one) 20 year smokers being able to go cold turkey, drinking less even shopping less. The future research into this area will be really interesting if any of this is true.

No it doesn't hurt at all.

Do you really need to be on them for life?

No. As with all weight loss methods, you will regain the weight if you return to your old habits. You need to use your time on them to really work on your diet and preparing to stop. There's no reason you can't maintain once you come off but it will take effort and a permanent lifestyle change. I've only just stopped and am very consciously eating exactly the same as when I was on it. I know that snacking is not something I can ever return to.

Can you drink alcohol and caffeine?

Yes, but you may not want to. I went off coffee for a few months but I did go back to it.

Does it hurt?

No, not at all.

Thank you all.
I did lighter life years ago. So is it like that?

I kept it off for ages but gained after kids and went back to bad habits. It's easier to maintain when things for some reason.

Also can you still give blood?

It's not like Lighter Life. You still eat normal food, it just suppresses your appetite so you don't want to eat much. You can give blood.

Thank you. Guess what I meant is its like any diet that if go back to old habits it comes on.

Its not the substance making you lose weight if that makes sense?

Yes that's right. It just works by calorie deficit.
