Juice fast

Just wondering whether there's anyone here following the Jason Vale juice plans. I'm currently on a 5-day plan (pre-holiday!) and thinking ahead to the long term. Have dabbled with juicing in the past and I've recently read the 5:2 approach where you have two non-consecutive juice days per week, three 'pure' food days and two days free choice.

Would be really interested to hear whether there are any juice aficionados around who have found this WOE works well for them.

Haven't tried it myself but I am very interested into the 5:2 approach in the long term.
In the short term, I'm starting the 5 days Prolon fasting programme tomorrow so it could be interesting to compare results/how we feel during/after since they are programme of similar duration.

Sorry not quite the answer you're hoping for but I'm intrigued in how it goes :)

Thanks @Longears91 for replying! I haven't heard of the Prolon programme so will check it out. I finish this 5 day plan on Friday night so will update at the weekend - feeling a bit detox-y today but not a surprise as I haven't had any caffeine for 24 hours :)

Will read a bit more into the 5:2 method too - it's based on Mosley's original 5:2 fast diet but introduces a bit more structure around the other five days when not very low cal/juice fasting. Low carb works best for me usually so I'm interested to see how my body adjusts to fruit sugars in the juices, it could be a nightmare so may have to move away from some higher fat foods on the non-fasting days if I keep this going longer term.

Good luck to you with the Prolon programme!
