Wegovy? Is it worth it?

Hi, I am considering starting Wegovy - it's a big cost but with a BMI of 37 I feel it may be worth it - what are others experiences and results?! (and apologies if this has been discussed to death!)

It didn't work for me at all, I marvelled at so many others seeing huge losses. I was on it for 12 weeks and it didn't suppress my appetite at all (no significant significant side effects either).
Mounjaro has so far appeared to be effective for me, am 2 months in and have lost 5kg. We're all different, impossible to know how you will respond. I'm eating more protein, drinking more and making better choices - MJ makes it possible to keep going and remain consistent, you still have to make the changes but it stops the uncontrollable hunger.

I dont regret trying wegovy though, my bmi was 35 and I decided I was worth the investment. I wouldn't hesitate recommending trying the injectables, but then I've not had the side-effects others have experienced. Good luck.

Working for me.
I started with a BMI of 32.6 and currently 26.4.
I've lost 36lbs in 22 weeks and need to lose another 8 to get BMI 25. I'm quitting in 5 weeks and reckon I'll be at goal by then.
So I will have been on it for 6 months and my total spend was £1059. I'm happy it was money well spent.

Maintenance is the big challenge. Be aware from the start that you need to build sustainable habits that you can continue for life. A recent study shows that those that exercise do much better at keeping the weight off.
