How much does Loose skin self resolve

When older this is. I know it's a bit of a piece of string question but I would love some anecdotal stories

I'm in my 50s and haven't about a stone (6-7kg) and my skin feels 'loose'. If I run my hand along it it looks wrinkled.
I hope to lose another 6-7kg over the next few months.

Skin does tend to shrink back a wee bit but can people who have been unilaterally age with a similar experience share how their skin behaved please?

I started out 100kg and I am now 73kg and I am going to lose a bit more

I had stretch marks from pregnancy and I did have a wobbly tummy with extra skin but this is a bit better now I think. It’s not like, super tight it probably will never be. It still wobbles like jelly if I jiggle it but it’s not as big as it was. But I have been training with weights the past 6 months or so and I notice a firmness that wasn’t there before. If I was to walk with shorts on bits of my legs would still wobble with each step but just less than before. I haven’t really experienced an issue with a lot of lose skin I think mine has shrunk down but I accept it will never all be firm it’s always going to have some elasticity

Im over 50 and have now lost over 6st (maybe a stone more to go) and well....have you ever seen one of those sharpei dogs!?LOL😂
I havent so much lost weight as deflated TBH. Very wobbly upper arms, wrinkles in places I had no idea I would get wrinkles! Even my neck now has a couple of vertical wrinkles going down the middle.

There are alot of variables though. Where you carry your weight, skin type, if you have lost weight before and how long you have been big.
Sadly I have been big for decades and have yoyoed in the past so doomed to be a size 10 person in a size 16 skin!
(but I dont begrudge a single wrinkle or wobbly bit......they are all worth it given how healthy and positive I feel now).

I've lost 5 stone in a year, I'm 51. From a size 18/20 to a size 10.
It's honestly not as bad as I thought and seems to be sorting itself out slowly. I have been pretty good at moisturizing and getting my supplements, omega 3 and collagen. May or may not have helped. I'm fair with sensitive skin, but never went in the sun and not prone to stretch marks, maybe that has played a part. And as pp says it probably matters how long you have carried the weight. (In my case around eight years.)
In underwear I think I look good actually, but stark naked belly & boobs do look a bit 'melted' and there's definitely a small turkey neck but I don't care.
The way I see it being overweight comes with health risks, but having a bit of loose skin doesn't.

It's mainly determined by age and genetics. Unless you're incredibly lucky your skin won't ping back like elastic at 50.

I've got it and nearly everyone who lost significant amounts of fat will have. Nothing to be ashamed of and I'd rather have my skin rolls than my old fat rolls!

Thing is my mum, who was always very slim, also got wrinkly skin after a certain point - it's just aging process.
Last time I lost a significant amount of weight (about 8 stone) I was late 30s and it wasn't too bad - tummy never going to be tight and tops of my thighs and my arms were the worst bits but I still could wear sleeveless tops. I did quite a lot of exercise, some weights.
Now I'm 62 and have similar amount to lose. I didn't get any stretch marks while pregnant (one baby over 10lbs!) and so keeping my fingers crossed, but being a couple decades older it will be somewhat inevitable.
