I have tried a couple of missions, found it a little too slow and basic for me but can see how it would be great if you don't have much knowledge of nutrition and fitness.

It was done through a private Facebook group and drip-fed a bit too much for my liking. Liam makes me laugh though!

What are you wanting from it? I can try and answer if it may help you!

Hey, thanks @Whiskeyandkittens I appreciate your response.

I'm not sure if I'm honest. I lost a lot of weight with SW but after 2 kids have regained and more. Nothing I do works really but I know what I should be doing....

I was intrigued following the SW bashing posts and the idea of set point weight. I need to be consistent and honest with food plus move more!

I've just read this and tbh, it's put me off. Back to the drawing board.

Some of his posts piss me off but tbf I think he's right on that one!

Ive done a couple of the missions but he is quite arrogant. He's probably right a lot of the time though and I think he's definitely right about the pointlessness of slimming world industry etc.

Yeah, I get it but I think it just sounds wanky. Right but still wanky.

I’ve been following Rebelfit for about 5 years. I’d done the whole WW/SW/every fad diet that came up and never maintained my weight loss. I’d given up on SW when after I hit target, I got ill and had to go on meds that massively increase your appetite and when I gained I was asked ‘What I was doing wrong?’ 🤔
I’ve not done a mission for some time (due to being skint recently) but the principle is good - dieting in its basic principle will only drive up your weight in the long run. Very, very few people sustain long term weight loss through dieting. When I started Rebelfit, I gained weight. But I got more active. About a year after I started, I discovered a love for powerlifting and I’ve been doing that ever since. I have tweaked my food intake. I don’t diet but I do try to cook more from scratch, I find it helps to eat more protein (I have ADHD and I go for ultra processed carbs as a dopamine hit!). When I changed my perspective from ‘diet to lose weight’ to ‘nourish your body to exercise’ I noticed big changes. In the last two years (NB I had a serious injury and difficult marriage separation and divorce so things weren’t good for a while! Reliant on ready meals for a while) I’ve dropped a dress size, dropped a back size on my bra, increased my strength and got far more body confident. I rarely weigh myself but I was weighed for a medical review recently and I’ve lost about 3 stone on that time.
You might find it beneficial to do a mission. It talks more about nutrition and breaking the diet culture mentality as well as exercise regimes. The group support is helpful too.
