As in the title really. Sat here after gorging a takeaway. I've always had such an unhealthy relationship with food. I'm a big comfort eater and greedy with it too. I see food as a 'treat' in nearly 35 and have been overweight my whole adult life, I'm the biggest ive ever been now at 20 stone. I don't know how I can help myself

I lost about 2 stone by counting calories, intermittent fasting. And engaging personal trainer. I then plateaued for 6 months. Just lost half a stone in Feb with Slimpod. It does the rewiring your relationship with food thing PPs are talking about. Have a look at it.

I’m on Bodyslims at the moment and it’s really working for me, when nothing else has.

It’s a 10 week online course, and it sorts out diet, exercise, and most importantly - your head.

You get a calorie limit at the start, which you have to stick to. You are meant to take a walk every day, and make it part of your routine. There is a 1-2 hour weekly seminar online that you listen every Wednesday, which is weigh-in day. And every day there is a short 1-minute morning video and and evening video check-in, to encourage you and keep you in the right path. There is a motivational song and motto every day too, and a positive hypnotherapy type track to listen to at night. All this is within an app that you get access to for the 10 weeks.

It is immersive, but that is why it works. It sounds cult-like, but it isn’t, you just have to commit to do as Ger (the coach) instructs for the 10 weeks, and the weight falls off. It’s not uncommon for people to lose 15-25lb.

I highly recommend it, the next course starts just after Easter, it runs 3x a year.

I loved Noom.

It’s not meant to be a diet. More a way of life. It’s very slow and easy and relaxed and you can get on with real everyday life without being obsessed.

It’s tough when you have family, work and stress. But could think about prioritising yourself an hour every day in sone way?

My latest after losing a stone is now starting weight training video - thought I’d never say that! “Strength training workout 30 mins by yes2next” starring an elderly woman and her middle-aged daughter - it’s relaxed and easy (but it’s a bit hard too).

Stuff like that. Experiment with things you want to try …

Main thing is to go for the long haul. Nothing unrealistic. Losing and gaining 4 stone is pointless. Also I have found it really helpful to focus on my physical health and how I actually feel, rather than a weight on the scale or some such.
