Fat loss tips?

I have PCOS and struggle to keep the weight off and can gain weight very quick.
I had a taste of the "slim life" as I was breast feeding for 2 years and I was 70kg for ages no matter what I ate. Bear in mind I was 85kg before I was pregnant and 100kg the end of my pregnancy. So either motherhood or breast feeding made me strip the weight. I was unwell about a year in too which could've had an impact.
Now I've stopped feeding completely and I'm up to 75kg within a couple of months.
I'm going to the gym 2-3 days a week and walking every day a couple of miles.
I'm 5 foot 8. I want to get back down to 70kg.
What helped you lose weight ?
I really need to clean up my diet. But get such bad sugar cravings due to PCOS.

Losing weight with PCOS can be challenging, but it sounds like you're on the right track with your exercise routine. Here are some tips that might help you:

  1. Balanced Diet: Focus on whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. These foods can help you feel full and satisfied, reducing cravings for sugary snacks.
  2. Healthy Fats: Include sources of healthy fats in your diet, such as avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil. These can help keep you full and reduce cravings.
  3. Protein: Protein-rich foods can also help keep you full and reduce cravings. Include sources like chicken, fish, eggs, and legumes in your meals.
  4. Limit Sugary Foods: Try to reduce your intake of sugary foods and drinks, as these can spike your blood sugar and increase cravings.
  5. Regular Meals: Eating regular, balanced meals can help stabilize your blood sugar levels and reduce cravings.
  6. Stay Hydrated: Sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger, so make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day.
  7. Mindful Eating: Pay attention to your hunger and fullness cues, and try to eat slowly and enjoy your meals.
  8. Stress Management: Stress can also contribute to cravings, so finding healthy ways to manage stress, such as meditation or yoga, can be beneficial.
  9. Consult a Dietitian: A registered dietitian can help you create a personalized meal plan that meets your nutritional needs and helps manage your PCOS symptoms.
  10. Medication: In some cases, medication prescribed by a healthcare provider may be necessary to help manage PCOS symptoms and aid in weight loss.
It's essential to be patient with yourself and your body, as losing weight with PCOS can take time. Also, remember that weight is not the only indicator of health, so focus on overall well-being and making sustainable lifestyle changes.

Losing weight when you have PCOS can be a real challenge. Please don't give up! Since January I have been following an online course called Think Eat Sleep Repeat. It has changed my life and now I have lost 20lbs and I know my eating habits have completely changed for good. I've tried every diet programme under the sun and this is the first thing that has worked like this for me.

When you sign up you get LifeTime membership for £97! And they have a live session every week where they have weight loss coaches who talk you through every aspect of the programme. I can't recommend it highly enough! This is the lady who inspired me to give it a go. She's lost 7 stone doing Think Eat Sleep Repeat. Isn't she amazing?
