Anybody half way through a HUGE weight loss got any motivation tips for me please or is there anybody who wants to buddy up?

By methods of dedication, deprivation and determination I am down to 13st 10lbs and a size 14 from 18st 10lbs since last January (woohoo)
However, I have got complacent and lazy and have just eaten a full easter egg.

At 5ft7in I could do with losing another 3 stone but will be happy to be 11st5lb (top end of ideal weight on bmi)so about 2st 5lbs.

I have lost all motivation though atm and need a kick up the backside please.

Would love a buddy with a similar amount to lose.

QB - did you have the naan

DH got back from his work trip this morning, a whole 7hrs earlier than expected, so now he is around for the day the extra support can be found.. (as long as he doesn't opt for take away later! He is a stick man, eats whatever and doesn't show.. I find this very and is sooo unfair. If I could share my weight with him I'd love to

eeww.. someone's nappy needs an urgent change, hope you both have good days

ps: I was expecting this thread to get really busy with other members to the point I would have problems keeping up with everyone, but it's quite nice that at the moment I can

QueenBhannae · 02/04/2008 16:01

lol I resisted the naan after my loving dh said my belly looked bloated He paid for it though as I bought some new pants with his moolah just to prove that it isnt lol! (I did eat TWO chocolate mousses though for no other reason than 'because'eek)
I think we will easily crack 8-10lbs between us keevamum
Wooo weigh in tomorrow
Im glad we are a small group atm too as I am so slow at typing!
Maybe we should think of a good name for our next thread?

I have lost 2 lbs this week. I suppose I should be pleased but couldn't help feeling it could have been more but for my stupidity at times.

justhavingamoan · 03/04/2008 09:22

hi ladies,

i weighed myself and died of shock! then i went to see a cambrdige diet counsellor. so today is day 1 for me. ill let you know how i get on. i want to loose 8.5stone (scary, how did this happen........i know, blame cadburys, do you think i can sue!!)

well doen on your losses, keep going!

xx

QueenBhannae · 03/04/2008 10:50

Keevamum you did good girl! 2lbs is fantastic and exactly what we were aiming for. Well done.
Justhavingamoan-yes SUE them lol.Might be possible in America? 8.5st to your goal is gonna breeze by on cd so dont worry too much about it. The plus is that you have decided to do something NOW before it gets to be more to shift I had a similar amount to get rid of and am over halfway now without thinking about it too much. I wanted to go on cd but because of meds for pcos I wasnt allowed by my dr in the end. It looks a fantastic diet and I wish you luck x You will probably be at goal before I am as I have lost NOTHING this week!
I have pacified myself with the notion that I have over exercised and therefore added muscle and lost fat (nobody try and tell me otherwise)
Martha-how you doing?

Let me in! Let me in! Currently 11st 11. Need to be 10st 7 by May. Doing WW with no great conviction, so would love some support.

keevamum · 03/04/2008 11:23

Thanks QB that made me feel better, not enough to stop me from eating a bowl of frosties for breakfast though--ho hum back on it though. Great of you to join us PJ. QB it does slow up for a while sometimes be strong you are doing so well.

Pinkjenny · 03/04/2008 12:15

I just make really bad choices, and am VERY easily tempted and put off track. It seems like this last bit is the hardest!

Martha200 · 03/04/2008 15:48

Hi PinkJenny & JHAMoan

I to my surprise lost l lb (better than nothing I guess!)

I have however been shocked into action.. my ds1 was weighed at school (makes me furious you can opt out of them being weighed/height but have to request a hearing or vision test.. why can't that bit be compulsory like when I was a child?

Anyway.. ds1 his weight is my first goal (not for end of May though.. lol)I couldn't believe that I am carrying more than him around in weight

justhavingamoan · 03/04/2008 16:42

it is scary, thats y i thought i would do CD for a while, then get to goal - or there abouts and go on WW.

cant believe i have let mysself go so badly.

i will turn this around though!

Martha200 · 04/04/2008 07:57

Come to add (had to log off as needed) hope today is a good one and you all have a good weekend

justhavingamoan · 04/04/2008 14:35

im on day 2 of CD, weighed myself and its looking good. will post total loss after 1 wk though.........and try to stay off my scales until then!

xx

QueenBhannae · 04/04/2008 20:12

Im glad cd is going well for you JHAM Cant wait to see how you get on with it.Some people loose a stone in a WEEK!!

I am going away for two weeks but am back on the friday of each week if that makes sense so will pop in and post my weights and see how we are all doing!

Ooh Martha a pound is fantastic, well done! Its a lot more than you think when you see it 'in the flesh' so to speak.

Hello Pinkjenny welcome. Hope you stick around with us.

I have been for a two hour walk today with the double buggy (plus two hours shopping)so am hoping for a major loss next week. I just have to be good and have no more snacks...

Good luck for the weekend and beyond everyone.

Have a nice time away QB (hope that's an appropriate thing to say as I don't know where you are off to!) well done on the walk.

We are taking ds2 for his first swim this morning, am hoping to get a few lengths in myself but we shall see!

I went out last night we had a babysitter for our eldest, and was impressed I didn't go overboard on high calorie drinks though I did share a tasty kebab afterwards.. had loads of salad in so not ALL sinful

Have a good w/end everyone

justhavingamoan · 07/04/2008 16:39

hi all.

hope you are all doing well. i weighed myseslf this morning and since wed i have lost 13lb. which is fab, however i dont know how long i can carry on on CD - its getting me down big time. will last as long as i can then do WW.

xx

QueenBhannae · 10/04/2008 18:16

Right Ladies lets get back to it! How has everyone done???

WOW on your 13lbs jham!!!!! If you feel its getting to you though maybe you could up to 790 or 1000?

I had a great little break thankyou Martha and have returned 4lbs lighter thanks to all the exercise I have been getting so yay.

Keevamum where are you?

OP posts:
Martha200 · 11/04/2008 07:40

I am weighing in today, not had a chance yesterday and I am not someone who owns scales in the house

ooo.. well done on your 4lbs!

I bought a recipe book yesterday for ds as he has a dairy intolerance and there look some yummy healthy recipes in there for me too so getting my invisible cooking hat on over the w/end

Hope you all have a good w/end.

Martha200 · 12/04/2008 22:34
