I just want to post it somewhere as no one at home is particularly interested 😅

Since January I've lost 8lb 🎉

I've been yo-yoing up and down by about 4lb since the birth of my 2nd child. 4lb off, 4lb back on over and over again.

January I decided to really give myself a chance to get back to where I used to be and stick to it and I'm down by 8lb! I have another 8 to go but I'm so happy.

That is fantastic! Well done. How are you doing it?

Thank you 😊❤

I've reduced my calorie intake down to a deficit of between 300 and 700 calories a day. On average I burn between 2000 and 2600 so I'm eating around 1700-1800 per day. All tracked via myfitnesspal.

Making a conscious effort to get 120g of protein each day, and not completely restricting treats but I'll have a freddo instead of a bigger chocolate bar. Or a snack size pizza with salad when the rest of the family have a bigger pizza. I don't feel like I'm missing out then and less likely to cave and stuff my face 😅🙈

I've also incorporated running into my exercise plan. Mainly because I wanted to be fitter, but this also means I don't have to reduce my calories crazily low as I'm burning a lot more than I was when I was sedentary most of the day.

So to cut a long story short - eating sensible filling meals, increased my physical activity, and I guess being happy with a slow steady loss instead of trying to do it too quickly 🤞🏻

Well done 😊

Congrats OP! Well done. It’s a good time of year, hopefully by summer you’ll be closer to your happy weight.

I have 10lb I want to lose but my second baby is only 6 weeks so I’m prioritising it yet.

What kind of things do you usually have to increase your protein intake? I’m just grabbing the closest snack at the moment which is usually toast - need to have some easy high protein snacks around.

Eightdowneighttogo · 12/03/2024 10:44

@DuploTrain thank you so much 💓

For extra protein intake I stir protein powder into my morning porridge. Snack wise I've bulk bought bars for in the cupboard so I snack on one if them if I'm hungry instead of my usual biscuits 🙈🤣, I also have high protein yoghurts with berries added.

If I have the 3 above, plus a healthy portion of protein with my evening meal I'm hitting between 100g and 120g each day.
