Weight gain after bowel movement

I know this is a bit of a weird one but stick with it please 😅🤣 Admittedly I have weird weighing habits that can sometimes be a little addictive. I have noticed that I weigh more after having a bowel movement/passing urine. Is this normal? If so, why? Surely you would expect it to be the other way around if you've not eaten or drank anything in between weighing, going to the loo and then weighing again?

P.s I'm only 0.7 away from no longer being obese on the bmi scale 🎉

My scales always weigh differently the second time. The first time is always wrong.

Try weighing 3 times at the same time first thing. See if they match. Then try again later without eating/drinking and after a poo.

It's physically impossible for you to weight more. It will be the scales. Maybe bathroom humidity or heat of the floor could somehow affect sensitivity.

FYI I have the same experience
and it’s for none of the reasons thrown out in the comments.

i weigh in morning before food/drink.
after n#1

ideally after n#2, but sometimes that needs a little more time to happen and curiosity /impatience gets the better of me.
So I will weigh before incase it’s my last chance before I have to dress and go out the door, and SHOULD fate intervene then I weigh after too.

most of the time I weigh less, but a few times it’s more, today 0.2 pounds, and only 15min later. (No food/ drink/ shower).

Also happens to my brother, as he is my fitness guru he was the 1st person I asked.

Don’t know why but it does.

Also if you are an overthinker and anxious person (like me), do look into ADHD (inattentive or combined subtypes) just incase. I’ve learnt so much about myself and it’s been beneficial, but wish I’d known sooner.

Good wishes for your diet journey, same thing here.
