Would you recommend it? CD's or books? Need to do something! I know, the key to losing weight is to eat less exercise more, but it's getting out of the habit that I am finding difficult.

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with this?

If you do a search in this section there are a few threads on it which will give you an idea of how people have got on with it. I tried it for a while and it helped me think about how and what I was eating, but all on hold now as I'm pg! I think as with all methods of weight loss the results are a bit hit and miss

As Franke says, if you search there are quite a few threadds. I for one have found the CD very useful and i think it was money well spent.

I must admit Im intrigued but nor sure Im intrigued enough to spend money on the cd lol! Wonder if you can listen to him on a night and do ww during the day?

Have tried three or four times. Every time the weight falls off for the first month or so. Then it stops. And nothing moves. And I give up.

Last time I tried it I did not lose any weight, not even an ounce.

Perhaps you become immune to the CD, or perhaps I am just incapable of losing weight. I just don't know.....

Sorry, not much help really. Would love to be able to tell you it was great and I have lost 3 stone, but alas....

I tried it for a couple of weeks, stopped craving seconds/treaty snacks, and lost half a stone. I was quite impressed. BUT listening to the CD repeatedly saps your will to live. Soon you start skipping it and then you get the munchies all over again.

My friend used it. I think that she said you choose something that you don't want to eat (chocolate in her case) and it helps you stop eating it. I think it was his CD though I could be wrong. She said that it did work but she did snack on different things - suppose that would be ok if your second choice after chocolate would be an apple - not if it were crisps or cake!

Don't know if the effects faded over time though.

i got the book/cd combo from the library. i can see it makes sense and the cd is quite er hypnotic but i haven't taken it all on board yet, mentally. i am much more aware of not eating everything on my plate and questioning whether i'm hungry before i eat, but at the moment i'm ignoring my answer and carrying on regardless, even if i end up feeling sick.

anyway, get it from the library, give it a try, it'll be interesting to compare notes....
