Different patients different results oh ozempic

Firstly apologies if this has been covered extensively. There are so many ozempic threads and I haven't read them all.

Just wondering if there is any evidence (even anecdotally) regarding different sets of patients having different results with ozempic. It's interesting how some people lose large amounts of weight on low doses and others don't for example. I was wondering if there is a pattern.

My doctor mentioned that those with metabolic disorders/diseases do best with ozempic rather than those who have obesity due to what he called "lifestyle issues".

Is there any information out there on this?

Edit: oops title should read "on" not "oh"!

Ozempic works by mimicking a hormone that slows how quickly you digest food, for people with metabolic issues they are deficient in this hormone so taking Ozempic allows them to digest at a more similar rate to people who are not deficient. If you already have plenty of this hormone then Ozempic will have less of an effect.

That's my understanding of it anyway.

I believe it’s the same as gastric surgery - if you choose to, you can continue to eat too much food or find ways around it to eat more calories than you need. Lifestyle issues would mean those who don’t change their lifestyles and continue to eat processed takeaways or ready meals probably don’t do as well on ozempic. It’s just a tool it doesn’t take away the responsibility on the person to change their life. Someone with a metabolic disorder might not be eating the same disordered way as someone who has lifestyle obesity
