Weight loss meds from Turkey

I'm going to be in Istanbul for work at the end of October for a couple of months.

Does anyone know if it's easy to get Ozempic/Wegovy there?

I've done a quick Google search and can't see anything, but as people go there for weight-loss surgery etc. I assume it must be possible.

Has anyone got any personal experience of where to go?

It's an ideal opportunity for me to get my weight sorted, as I'll have access to a pool/gym etc as well.

Thank you.

Would you know if they're were the same ? Or not the real thing?
My friend bought her husband some viagra in Turkey ( he ended up in hospital on ventilation ) .. obviously wasn't the real deal.

Unfortunately there is no quick fix to weight loss. It will help you lose a lot of weight short term but you will put the weight back on if you haven't changed your diet and exercise. The second you stop taking it you will put the weight back on. It's only prescribed by specialists, along side other measures. It works by acting as an analogue to insulin, it increases insulin and decreases stomach emptying so makes you feel full and stops sugar building up and being stored as fat. You also don't know if you are buying the real thing so could be dangerous. The way to lose weight is diet and excercise. Have you struggled to lose weight in the past?

Utter rubbish

I used both wegovy and saxenda and lost 3 stone.

Been off them and carried on losing at a slower rate . Weight has stayed off

I'm not saying it doesn't work and you may have changed your lifestyle to help but if you eat exactly the same and do little exercise after stopping and don't change your diet you will regain the weight. There is a study in the AMA journal that found people regained 2/3 of their weight loss within a year of stopping.

Be careful. Someone posted a link to some research into effects of that and pancreatitis. As someone who has had chronic pancreatitis 12yrs and will never know how it feels to live without severe pain again, I urge you to be careful. Obviously it won’t happen to everyone. But it’s a risk, along with many others and when buying meds abroad and not disclosing to GP’s it sounds risky to me.

Are you still dieting? I’d imagine same with any diet. You will regain if no change to eating habits
