Weight loss

Just wondering if anyone has insight to the same thing . I have been on a weight-loss program for a few months and I have lost 12 pounds. I went from 180 to 168. I did not get on the scales for months and months because of the way it makes me feel if I have not lost I go into a downward spiral. So this is great news! However, this is what I wanted to ask -I take my measurements every week and they are exactly the same. My clothes do not feel any bigger or baggier on me. So where has all this weight gone?? It's come off somewhere but where? Has anybody had this experience before? I feel and look exactly the same. Nobody has said oh you look like you've lost weight etc. I'm just a bit dumbfounded but also very happy to see a loss.

Hi, OP. Well done on your weight loss so far!

You are losing weight but not inches because you might be losing water weight, not fat; or gaining muscle, which is denser than fat; or experiencing natural fluctuations in your body weight and shape.

To see more visible results, you can track your progress using multiple methods, such as body fat percentage tests, BMI calculations, WHR measurements, photos, clothes, etc.

You can also be consistent and patient with your weight loss process, and celebrate your achievements and enjoy the journey.

You are doing great and you should be proud of yourself. Don't let the scale or the tape measure define your success or happiness. 😀

That’s awesome news on losing 12 pounds. Weight loss can be a complex process, and it’s not uncommon for the scale to show a decrease while measurements and clothing size remain the same. Remember, weight loss can involve losing fat, gaining muscle, or changes in water retention. It’s possible that you’ve been losing fat but gaining muscle, which could explain the lack of change in measurements. Don’t worry too much about it. Keep focusing on your progress and how you feel. You’re doing great.
