Hungry now I've stopped Ozempic

I stopped Ozempic ( was self funding) due to the shortages about 6 weeks ago.
The food noise and hunger has returned with a vengeance . I'm wondering about Berberine , does anyone use this and where do you buy it from. I am type 2 diabetic , the Ozempic got my bloods down to normal. I do still take Metformin though.
Any other suggestions I'd be grateful.

Can you see if your GP will prescribe rybelsus?

There are some shortages but they aren't as bad and are expected to get better by the end of the year.

I don't think they will , I mentioned it at my last review , I did switch to rybelus 14 mg for 1 month then found that had low supplies too. I'm self funding and the cost is too much now.

That's a bugger. I'm sorry.

@triggers34 - why won’t your GP prescribe Ozempic? Is it the shortages? Do you meet the criteria?

I know someone on here who was taking Ozempic got it on prescription from a private endocrinologist. Obviously you have to pay the initial private consultation appointment fee but afterwards Ozempic would be much cheaper. If of course it’s in stock anywhere. My neighbour is a pharmacist and says she is constantly being asked and they can’t get it.

Failing that as a diabetic anyway have you looked at low carb? It would keep you feeling full. And has potential to reverse Type 2 diabetes. The Freshwell app is free and has good info on it.

You shouldn’t have been self funding if you are a diabetic? My friend has Diabetes and he told me recently that he is still currently able to get it (he lives in the Midlands) and gets it via the NHS of course.
If you have an NHS prescription you can then phone around various pharmacies until you find one with stock.
