How much would you expect to lose if you ate this every day

1x bowl porridge with 150ml skimmed milk
1tsp honey
15 blueberries
A bag of salad leaves
A tin of baked beans
40g 50% reduced fat cheddar
2x "light" cereal bars (70cal each)
2x fat free yogurts (50cal each)

Total approx 1200 cal

I've eaten this every day for 2 weeks and have only lost a pound, I expected a bit more!

Please no judgement - I am well aware that I'd be better off without the artificial snacks and more protein etc. But I have a very sweet tooth and want to keep to 1200 cals. I am also neurodivergent with many food aversions, so I thought I'd try eating the above every day for a few weeks just to see what happens. I'm slightly overweight, not loads to lose, but a stone or two would do me good.

Water weight might be impacting you. My weight can fluctuate by 5 or 6lbs each week from water weight. At 1200 calories a day you'd expect to lost 1 to 2 lbs a week so you might have lost actual fat but can't see it on the scale yet.

Hey it’s good you are trying as others say 1ib pw is about normal until your body knows this is the new life style. You don’t say how much oats you use in your porridge. I use a quarter cup with seeds, fruit or berries berries or a few nuts every second day. I’d eat more protein (two eggs equals 150 cals. Six large prawns a hundred cals, turkey breast not much ) I’d add some calories and fibre from cooked carrots and booked beetroot, which taste quite sweet and skip pasta and probably potato. There’s protein in dark rye bread if you like it use thin toasted slices. The salad in itself is great esp if you add a tablespoon of chick peas or some hemp seeds but I’d swap the sweet yogurts for quarter cup plain Greek yogurt, half a banana for sweetness and those blueberries or tip them into a smoothie with a chocolate protein powder some extra (non taste) spinach and some soy milk Those calories can add up to 250 to 300 easily but they are quite sweet and much more filling. And as others say adding a different type of exercise could help.

If you are happy with eating like that, stick to it for about 5 weeks and then have a review.
If you are still having periods, weight loss does weird things in line with your cycle. A month of weekly weighing tends to be; small lose, small lose, small gain, bigger lose.

I'm losing 2lbs a week at the moment doing the only thing that works for me.. one meal a day, eating between 5-7pm. Have 3 more lbs till my target weight before I go away.

I realise I may not be getting all the nutrients I need but it's only very short term so I'm not concerned. I eat a huge meal and try to get in all the food groups, then chocolate if I fancy.

Why have I forgotten how to spell loss?
