So I have 75lb to lose and am fully aware to i need to lose it slow and steady but its already a very droopy wobbly bag of stretch marks and varicose veins. I don't want to add on large amounts of loose saggy skin.

Other than doing it slowly there anything I can do as I go? I'm thinking along the lines of creams/certain exercises/ save my ££ for a particular thing when I hit finish line?

I've been reading about microneedling but not sure if that's a load of rubbish..

Any hidden gems or tricks I should be aware of?

Thank you!

From what I've read strength training is the way to go. You can add collagen and take care of your skin by dry brushing and then moisturising regularly but the best results seem to be when people have made sure their muscles are toned and are taking the place of some of the fat to stop the skin being too saggy.

Yes like on your back with knees up a little then have 1kg weight in each hand (tiny dumb bell) and put arms out horizontally at 3 and 9 O'Clock then lift them up vertically over your body repeat ten times. Then hold arms straight out and bend at the elbow to bring it in repeat ten times. Then hold arms straight above your head and slowly raise until vertically over your face repeat ten times. Then go back and repeat each exercise 10 times. Then do it again so 30.of each in total. Do morning and evening. Also stand up and swing arms forward and backwards then make large circles with arms like you are doing butterfly swimming do this 10 times, pause then repeat, pause then repeat. Morning and evening. It will stop the bingo which people get when they lose weight quickly. Do lots of walking and swimming to keep your body toned. Pilates will help you too.

There's nothing you can do really to prevent lose skin if you lose large amounts of weight. I must have bad genetics for it as I had loads of stretch marks way before I even got fat. When I lost all the fat I was left with loose skin but it's just part of my journey, weight training does help but it won't produce miracles.

Simply put I'd take my loose skin any day of the week over my old fat body which I hated.

Going in to autophagy is supposed to significantly help.

I've lost 6 and a half stone with 2 and a half-3 to go and I have very little loose skin and my face hasn't collapsed either! I'm in my mid 50s but I have few wrinkles and I think I must have very elastic skin or something.

Obviously I haven't entirely escaped it, I have some on my stomach (but always did after having a very large baby) and a bit on my thighs (where most of my remaining excess seems to be). I will probably end up with a bit more but it's much better than being 20 stone!

I heavy weight train 4 times a week at the gym and do yoga every day, I have quite a lot of muscle anyway so I think that's helped.

I do think some of it is genetic but weight training, being active and moisturising regularly help I think. Don't let it put you off losing the weight though.
