Anyone else on holiday and dreading the scales on return?

Left the UK at 11stone after losing a lot the last few years and around another 20lbs for holiday.

Planned on keeping it up with good buffet choices and swimming but have really over done the chips/bread/ice-cream 😂😂

Get back Saturday so I'll weigh in then but not looking forward to it!

Had a huge breakfast this morning and feeling like a stuffed sausage 😂

I'm really hoping I've not gained more than 7lbs 😭

Once you get home the extra weight will soon go if you are careful. It's really difficult getting back on it when you've been eating anything you like but you are on holiday so it is allowed.

I know. Thankyou.

I just really planned on being more careful and that just went out of the window on arrival!

I was dreading it but my weight was exactly the same when I got back from a 2 week hol despite eating plenty of ice cream, pizza, pasta, crisps and biscuits - all things I limit at home. It was a semi active holiday but not much more active than at home.

My theory is I was less stressed, and my fitbit shows I was getting about an hour extra sleep each night on average. So you never know!

Oh I can only hope!

I have been more active. Walking, stairs (don't do lifts!) swimming so perhaps I'll be lucky!

You started the thread on the 19th

today is the 22nd

you could have made changes in what you were eating in those days!

Why? I was on holiday.

3 days wouldn't have made any difference.

I did plan to try and stay on my diet but the buffet was just too good and I thought fuck it!

I'm glad I did as I only gained 4lbs which I can lose in a fortnight but I had a wonderful holiday!

I always start a diet on the journey home. I eat a healthy breakfast, limit snacks and fizzy drinks. Then I have Day 1 ticked off and am in the right frame of mind for healthy eating and drinking.
