I see a few people on social media advertising metabolic weight loss. Has anyone had any success with this?

What does that mean?

I used to be keto, I've done the monks fast, low carb, looked in to insulin resistance, how to minimise insulin reactions et cetera, calorie restriction + metabolic thermogenesis but i do not know what metabolic weight loss means.

Every weight loss (or gain) is a metabolic weight loss (or gain) surely? 🤔 Your metabolism is how your body used the food you eat. In this case it seems to be used as a buzz word that doesn't actually mean anything, or as a "catch-all" with a meaning so wide it ends up meaning nothing.

As in eating only specific foods for your body type and metabolic stage. Not calorie counting, cutting carbs and so on. I'll try and post a link.

If you eat quite a lot of protein and fat, and not excessively in the way of carbs, you'll trigger your metabolism to burn fat rather than just sugar.

If you avoid processed food and don't fill up on lots of cakes and chocolate, you'll achieve this. It's not going to work to the same degree for everyone, but it will work for everyone, because that's how we're built to function'. That's what metabolism is^. It's not a special diet that's different for different 'types'. The only people who might have to do it differently are those with an illness, and even then, they usually just need to alter proportions, rather than what they're actually eating.
