Which diet plan?

I need a diet plan to help me get going and not sure which one to try.

I've done slimming world before with good results but I'm not sure whether to try something else.

Looking for opinions on WW and noom or any other plan you think may help please?

I like having an app as a way of tracking weight loss and having recipes.

Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.

It's a simple and perhaps annoying answer but personally I think most weight loss plans are much of a muchness in that followed strictly the vast majority of people will lose weight on them. The difference for me is that some of them are more or less tolerable in terms of encouraging a reasonably healthy and balanced diet and achievable for an average person living an average life, whereas some are completely restrictive and miserable. With the latter you might be able to stick it for a few months or however long it takes to lose the weight (and seeing the scales change is motivating in itself) but faced with the prospect of eating like that forever you are highly likely to revert back to previous habits and eventually put the weight back on rendering it a pointless (and potentially metabolically damaging) exercise.

So I think for me the answer is whichever 'plan'/way of eating/app appeals to you most as a permanent change rather than just a means to an end/way to lose weight. For me I use MyFitnessPal which is just a calorie counting app, free and very simple to use, I like that it is totally flexible, if you want to eat your whole days calorie allowance in chocolate you can (but you won't feel great on it). I combine basic calorie counting using MFP (I am not super strict about it, don't weigh every meal presicely or anything, but am very mindful of portion sizes) combined with a little bit of carb reduction (try and only eat refined/processed carbs once a day, don't always manage it 100%) and a bit of intermittent fasting too (loosely follow the 16:8 and have a 24 hour water only fast maybe once a week so I don't eat after dinner one day until dinner the next day, drink water, black coffee and herbal teas only). But that's what I've found works for me (for maintenance as well as initial weight loss), to some people this would be absolute hell on earth, we're all different.

So if slimming world worked for you then go for that again, but I would question why you stopped, I guess because you'd reached goal weight but did you stick with the habits etc or did you find that unsustainable? If so maybe trying something new would be better for you?
