You've just had a baby so if you make any changes please make them minor ones and go slow. First step is to weigh and measure yourself for accurate info and work out your BMR here. www.calculator. net/bmr-calculator.html This will tell you how many calories you should be eating to see steady weight loss.
You should start looking at the foods, drinks, sauces etc everything you consume and working out how many calories you're actually receiving (roughly). For non-packaged foods, I'd weigh average bits and pieces of fruit and google average calories. So a 70g apple is how much etc. I wrote this stuff down for reference. Think about nutrition, not just cutting. Then start planning meals and snacks. I'd look in my book, write down what I was going to have that day on a piece of paper and follow it.
It can be overwhelming to think about, but you don't need to radically change your diet and routine all at once, just start cutting the worst stuff out bit by bit and add good stuff in. I'd start the day with most of my daily carbs from stuff like bread or potato because it's most filling and I wouldn't end up overeating, filled the rest of the day with fruit, veg. Make smoothies if you struggle with it.
Exercise doesn't burn as many calories as you'd think unfortunately, but should play a part in weight loss nonetheless. If I were you I'd simply walk a little longer to start with.
