Intermittent fasting and stomach growling

Does anyone have any tips on how to stop the embarrassing stomach growls that come from fasting? I don’t mind when I’m at home but it’s horrible when sat in a quiet office full of people! I was wondering if a fibre supplement drink would help just to bulk out the emptiness of my gut?

Drinking a pint of water helps me! Also I only had this problem when I first started IF. Now my stomach is used to it and I don't get hungry until around 1pm.

Try a glass of Apple Cider vinegar? 2 tablespoonfuls in a glass of water daily. Amongst a whole host of wonderful things it does for the body, it also suppresses hunger for much longer.

I find mint tea helps - especially when I'm in the office!

My favourite is mojitea by Bird & Blend and Mint Digestif by Dragonfly.

If you had a fibre drink, would that not just break your fast though?

Thanks for the suggestions :) I’m not worried about hunger as such, it’s just the noise that comes from my stomach realising there is no food in there. It’s so loud, a colleague commented in a jokey way but it’s made me really aware of it

Black coffee with sugar free syrup or sweetener should help loads!

i’m not super strict with it to be honest, I just find the fasting window helps to keep my eating in check. I did read that fibre supplements don’t create an insulin spike and are low in calories but I may be wrong.

Apparently sweeteners can cause a spike and can increase cravings

Mine makes those noises whether empty or full. Sweeteners are definitely a bad idea.
