Anyone using them? if so, maybe you can advise which one you think performs relatively reliably? Loads on Amazon and can't really chose..

I only looked into this fairly briefly, but I read that it’s not really possible for scales to do this.

I have this one: tinyurl.com/23vmbk6z

It talks to my phone and shows graphs of body composition etc. I’ve found it helpful with my weight loss, and a colleague who bought one on my recommendation is also very happy with hers.

They are so unbelievably not worth using. But, as one who fell for the hype a few years ago, I can say that Tanita is probably the best of the bunch. Not sure if any of those talk to your phone. I have heard good things of Renpho and I think Withings also does one. Withings has a good health app so their scales are bound to talk to your phone. If you are going to use one then you need to use it under exactly the same conditions. So on the same piece of floor, same clothing, same time of day (best time being first thing in the morning after using the loo). Even then you will get wild fluctuations and won't see anything like a trend for a good few months.

I don't think any of them are particularly accurate (compared to proper body mass testing with callipers) however they can be useful to track progress as long as you use the same scale, measure at same time of day/month etc.

I have a garmin S2.
