I've just been reading (on here) that some scales are measuring weight as whatever stone plus 14lb instead of saying the next stone up. For example 12st 14lb instead of 13st. How can that be right? So when the scale reads 13st exactly the person must weigh 13st 1lb because they already weighed 13st when the scale said 12st 14lb. I've worked in hospitals and eating disorder settings and never have the medical scales measured anyone at whatever st and 14lbs. There are 14 pounds in a stone so how the heck are these scales being used. Maybe it's a gimmick thing to tell people they are losing more weight than they are and are into the next stone bracket when they aren't. If you measure in pounds this doesn't compute at all.
