Restarting one2one diet (Cambridge)

ForeverMessy456 · 05/02/2023 08:23

Looking for anyone else who has just restarted or looking to restart the Cambridge one2one diet.

I did the plan 3-4 years ago now and lost around 3.5 stone in 4 months.

After having my son I've put all the weight plus more I think back on.

I'm restarting the diet this week and looking for some buddies for support.

You sound like me! It is hard but we manage to find ways to stop us being preoccupied with eating - hot bubble bath at the end of the day for me and reading books. Good luck with your journey 💜

Does anyone find there’s a log of negativity or judgement from people about this plan? I try not to tell anyone (except my nearest and dearest about it) as don’t need that kind of attitude. Or I don’t say unless I feel I have to once I’m well-established on it.

Greenthread · 14/03/2023 22:06

Yes, I had that the last time I did it. People telling me it was bad for me cos it was so low calorie or that I would put all the weight back on as soon as I stopped. I didn’t, I kept it off for a few years (until covid hit!).

ringofrosies · 15/03/2023 15:50

It’s like any diet, if you go back to old eating habits of course you’ll put weight back on.

Greenthread · 16/03/2023 13:39

I’m so hungry

ringofrosies · 16/03/2023 22:40

Hope the hungry feeling has passed? It’s tough first 3-4 days but does get easier. Try drink the recommended water and do things to distract yourself if you can

I am at the end of my third week and have now lost one stone! I am so happy with that. My clothes are so much looser and I certainly feel better for it.

So far I have managed really well and not really had any hunger as such. If I do, I drink water. I am drinking around 4 litres a day, so that is certainly helping.

ringofrosies · 19/03/2023 11:04

Well done, that’s amazing! I’m on week two and lost 9lbs last week.

Greenthread · 21/03/2023 21:27

Wow, amazing losses. It’s very inspiring to read! I’m struggling a bit. I need to get in the zone.

Fluffypinkcushion · 23/03/2023 20:41

Hi all! Juat been searching for any other groups for the 1:1. I started in November and have lost not far off 3.5 stone. Ive done mostly step 2 with odd weeks of 1B and 3 here and there. Ive only gained once ever, and that was over christmas but smashed the next week and lost what id gained and 4 more. So definitely dont panic about bumps along the way! Ive got about 2.5 stone left in theroy but its becoming harder now im feeling better about myself and clothes etc are smaller!

Greenthread · 26/03/2023 19:41

How is everyone getting on? I’ve been sticking to plan pretty well and I’ve lost 10lb since I started. People are commenting on how well I look. I feel so much better for it.

Londonnight · 27/03/2023 07:54

End of week 4 and I have lost another 2lb! That makes 16lb in total so far. I am doing step 3.
I struggled a bit more this past week, but I think that is more to do with me being on annual leave and not in a set routine than anything else. Still stuck to plan as I really need to lose this weight. Back to work this week, so hopefully no problem this week.

Sailorchick14 · 27/03/2023 22:15

I've just started this diet. I'm on my third week of step 3. 9lb down after two weeks and hoping for a good loss this week too. Got a long way to go..

MamaBear1022 · 27/03/2023 22:29

Hi!

I'm on day 2. Headache today but drinking so much water!

Shakeitbaby · 30/03/2023 14:10

Just found this thread and it's nice to read through and see how well everyone is doing. I started at the end of February and am 4lbs away from having lost 2 stone. I have an awful lot to lose though so although this seems a lot, it's is a drop in the ocean really.

I'm doing step 1b (4 products each day) have had a few meals out but managed to work them in with plan. I'm really enjoying doing it and after years of counting calories and tracking everything and not losing much, its lovely to see the numbers on the scale go down.

How is everyone else getting on?

ringofrosies · 01/04/2023 11:50

Just finished my third week and I’ve lost a stone bang on. I’ve had days when I’ve been quite peed off at the whole thing but so glad I’ve stuck to plan now and hopefully this will spur me on.

keepingheadabovejust · 23/04/2023 08:04

You’ve all had amazing losses, hope I do as well on this diet!
I started the diet 1 1/2 weeks ago and I lost 6lbs. Currently on stage 1a but going to go up to 1b next week.
I made the mistaken of stepping on the scales this morning and I have gained 2lbs! No idea how, drinking my 2.5ltrs, eating my 3 sachets and don’t have my period yet. Hoping by Tuesday (my weigh in) it comes off, and a bit more. x

Londonnight · 23/04/2023 08:26

Week 8 now done. I have now lost 26lb on step 3. Only 2lb loss this week, but still a loss. I was hoping to get under the two stone mark to get me into the next stone bracket -- but hopefully next week :)

Shakeitbaby · 24/04/2023 14:44

I'm still going strong too. Will have been on plan for 8 weeks on Wednesday. Have lost 2 stone 2 stone 3lb. It has slowed down a lot over the past few weeks, I'm not sure why. I've had consistent losses but I was hoping for bigger losses as I have so much to lose.

The only different thing was that I am having more bars than before and less shakes? Not sure whether that would make any difference.

I'm plodding on though. I started yesterday and plan to continue doing a workout on YouTube each day, so that might help speed things up.

I'm still enjoying the products and find the success stories really inspirational. It's the only thing that has worked for me in a very long time so I will stick with it.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday.
