Anyone had any luck on slimfast?

I'm 1 year postpartum and still as heavy as I was pregnant (so I've basically put on weight..)

I'm struggling to control my snacking and find calorie counting a bit overwhelming. I'm thinking of trying slimfast. 2 shakes and a normal but healthy meal. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I imagine if snacking is an issue then limiting your calorie intake to 2 shakes and a meal really won’t be sustainable. You’ll be starving.

Increasing Fibre and lean protein so that you are fuller for less calories can help and should reduce snacking.

OP did you have any luck with this? I'm same as you were..1 year pp and still as heavy. I'm a big snacker too plus too big portions. Considering slimfast so I don't have to think about it!

I dont want to be harsh, but if you know you snack and eat too large a portion, unless you address that, the minute you stop the slimFast the weight will come back, and lets be honest, slimfast is not sustainable long term

Find a smaller plate - modern plates are HUGE, try a charity shop. Eat what you normally eat, only fill 1/3 to half the plate with vegetables and then in the space thats left, add your protein and starch - rice, pasta, potatoes

Get rid of most of the high carb, high fat, high sugar snacks ( and that cereals as well ) and swap them for chicken drumsticks, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt ( greek ) hummus , fruit, cheese, - high protein I say get rid of most, you cant go from one extreme to the other over night, a small portion of what you fancy wont kill. My daily pack of crisp is now every couple of weeks, I have to really really want them

@DottyD83 this is a bit like thinking you can drive a car without taking any lessons. You might be able to but it’s not a good idea. The only way to lose weight is to properly address all the reasons why you have gained it and work hard to make changes. If a shake solved it all we would all be doing it! They are made with whey and I tried them in the past and had violent gastric discomfort. There are lots of threads here about other ways to make healthy and sustainable changes. But it will involve thinking
