Do you feel hungry if in calorie deficit?

I started calorie counting on Sunday and use My fitness pal for it.
Aiming to consume about 1500-1600 kcal a day which I seem to manage.
However, I do not feel hungry at all and wondering if its early days or I overestimate what I'm eating. What do you reckon?
I weigh food such as cheese, butter, boiled pasta, apples, oranges etc otherwise I use the values that I get from the pack (salad boxes from Tesco, wraps or ready meals).
Is being hungry equals calorie deficit?
I also exercise a LOT if it matters.

For me, around 1,500-1,600 calories is the sweet spot where I can be in a calorie deficit and not feel like I'm starving myself, so not battling constant feelings of hunger. If exercising a lot, then I would guess you are in a deficit and wouldn't want to go much lower...

I can't say that I ever really feel hungry being in a calorie deficit. If anything I feel fuller as I cam more aware of what I am eating and pick low calorie high volume foods. Also the fact I have upped my water intake helps

I think pasta should be weighed dry, on the packet it will be the dry weight.

You may find that measuring it when boiled is more cals than you think

Doesn't it weigh more when cooked though? So would be underestimating rather than overestimating? I agree weighing dry makes it more accurate but not as practical if cooking for others...

I simply googled cooked pasta calories and stuck the number into Myfitness pal.
Pasta absorbs a lot of water when cooked so it should actually weigh more and its difficult to project the number from dry weight especially because I cook it for the whole family..

But I also found that there is a lot of approximation with the whole calorie counting thing.. How many calories in an egg for instance? According to google it varies a lot. Same goes for apples, oranges etc.

Ok do want you want do.

But the only way to be accurate is to use the info on the pack and weigh it accordingly.

This is good to now. For me it is also early days and I may get very hungry soon.
I also noticed that there is no urge to roam the fridge after workouts, surprisingly. I force myself to eat something as heard you absolutely should after exercise.

Thank you for the input!
Let's hope it stays this way and I won't find myself battling soon..:)
It is also interesting how many calories I burn through the exercise, apple watch gives me an absolute crazy figure and if I do trust it than I must be in deficit..
Annoyingly, Myfitness pal (basic, not premium) subtracts the exercise calorie and keeps upping the remaining calories so I should look at the "food" calories rather than "remaining"

I think it might just be early days. I usually do feel hungry in calorie deficit. Less if I eat high protein foods. Or if I am busy.

According to my weight loss program intense exercise makes you less hungry, although light or moderate exercise makes you hungrier. Due to hormone responses.

You are probably eating more thoughtfully so not getting the blood sugar variations and insulin response.

I am usually eating 12-1300 calories and don’t often feel hungry.
