Does weight loss only work first time?

I mean like joining a new diet club. Will it only work if you just do it that first time of joining? When motivation is high?

Or can you mess about with plans for years, re-joining time and time again..then one time..it just clicks after years of trying?

Well, this is an interesting question. Everyone is different. Some people never ever diet and then they decide they need to lose weight and do it immediately. Others start, fall off the wagon, start again, etc. etc. etc. for years and years and years (like me!). I have joined weight watchers more times than I care to remember (maybe 7 times). I lost a lot of weight only once, about 4 years ago before I had my children. Since then, I have joined and failed many times but recently joined again in January and am still ON the wagon. It feels like it has clicked. But it remains to be seen if it truly has clicked and this is a permanent way of life (which is what it has to become) or if it is not.

Why do you ask?

Just fed-up, and interested what others think.

I went to SW recently (again) and a lady was there, a very slim lady.

I looked at her, thinking what are you here for, bet you have never had to worry about your weight....you are so lucky!

It turned out, she was a new consultant in my area, and had just lost 8 stone!!

She went on to say she had tried to diet for years and years, failing at WW repeatedly, but joined SW and never looked back! She showed me her before photo, and the change was truely fantastic.

She must have found her click!
