Low carb cal count stall after Keto ''success''- anybody else finding they can only lose weight Keto now?

Well, when I say keto success, I was the thinnest I 've ever been but I couldn't hack it and put all the weight and more back on.
Now I'm trying to do ''just'' low carb cal count and have been finding it easy enough compared to Keto. Cooking lots of healthy meals with no pasta, rice et cetera but not worrying at all about how many leeks or onions I put in. Going easier on fats than when I was on Keto.

In a month the only weight I've lost has been in the first ten days. I really want to avoid doing keto again as I know I cannot eat like that forever.

Anybody been in these shoes?

Well, nearly a month. 25 days but I haven't lost any weight since 9th Jan. Thats over 2 weeks of being really careful and losing nothing.
That's two weeks of tracking on myfitness pal. Weighing, reading labels, making good choices et cetera.

I can't help wondering if I've messed up my body's ability to lose weight if I don't do keto. I hope I'm wrong

Are you weighing yourself every day?

I was to begin with but no losses, so i waited a whole week to weigh and id put on a kilo. I couldn't believe it.
I'll give it one more week but may have to do keto again 😪

You definitely and scientifically don't have to do Keto to lose weight. However it may be more of a behavioural thing where you are an all or nothing person when you diet. But I would go back to weighing every day and take note of the fluctuations but don't get fixated on the scales. If you know for sure you aren't over eating and are getting some movement/steps in the weight gain you see is more likely to be a fluctuation due to hormones/food volume/water etc
