Yes! Another pound gone, O frabjous day. I know this just takes me back to where I was a few weeks ago, but I'm pleased with it all the same. Hope everyone else is managing to keep away from temptation. It does help to be thinking about something else, I managed to miss the most wonderful looking sultana roly-poly pudding in work yesterday by just not noticing it was there. How could I not, you ask? You might well, I've no idea, but it was a good day not to eat it. I now weigh in at work on Fridays too so I'm not quite so much off the leash on Tuesday lunchtime any more either. Perhaps that's what's working. Good luck everyone and contemplate a new swimsuit for this summer.

Well i just weighed myself another 2 pound lost and thats 6lb in total and i didn't think i had lost any this week and i'm also due my period so i thought that would have made me heavier so i'm thrilled. So you should be pleased its much better to lose weight however small and we all have those days where we indulge a little, i didn't lose any the other week because it was 1 of the girls birthday so we went out for meal and i had big mixed grill with chips and quite a lot of alcohol and a pudding but at least i didn't put any on!!!

HeavyBee · 05/02/2008 12:48

Two pounds lost, Bitcat, that's great! And six altogether is very respectable, nearly half a stone. My aim for this week is to keep from putting any back on & then take a deep breath and start losing again. Otherwise I go up and down like a very small yoyo and never really get anywhere. I don't want to lose too much at once though, I'm too old for my skin to be elastic enough to cope with it these days.

Same here slowly and sensibly does it, there is no sense in starving!! Anyone can lose weight it's the keeping it off thats the battle isn't it. After 4 kids my metabolism is terrible i only have to look at a choc bar and i've gained pounds and my skin already stretched to the max, i've a target of 9st and am determined to get to it!!!

HeavyBee · 05/02/2008 13:43

Yes, nine stone is really my target too although it would give me great pleasure to go a shade under that. Sigh. I don't eat chocolate bars or sweets, it's bread and jam, crumpets and marmite, toast and honey which are my downfalls, especially on days when dds and I go home and have afternoon tea after school. They're ravenous and I can't resist, at least, not in the winter.

Still, if we stay out of the kitchen, we've more chance of not scavenging for treats. That's my plan.

Good luck! And Smalline, Tortoise, Furball, cooooeeeee! It's Tuesday!

hi girlies - another lb off again no effort really just my running so am well chuffed as I really lurrrve food and I find it hard to cut back [unfortunately]

HeavyBee · 05/02/2008 14:34

Oh, Furball, that's great news! We're all doing well this week so far, and with your running going well you must be feeling really encouraged. I'm told that exercise tends to take your appetite away but I don't think I've really noticed that.... Only misery or panic does that for me (I'm not a comfort eater), and I couldn't wish those on anyone.

Yep we're all doing well this week, another 1.5 lbs off. I have to be really good later, not to polish off too many pancakes. Have fun ladies.

BITCAT · 05/02/2008 16:58

i don't know about you ladies but i find night times the worse, boredom sets in then i start snacking on all sorts!!!

Smalline · 06/02/2008 20:54

I know what you mean BITCAT I used to be the same, it's worse when I have my tea with the children early evening, the best thing to do is as Heavybee mentioned STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN. Failing that popcorn helps (not the buttery or toffee type though), it is low fat and high fibre.

BITCAT · 07/02/2008 18:57

I have found a piece of wholemeal bread toasted with tiny bit of marg/butter on it stops my hunger and cereal if i really am hungary...i sit on here at night and get hooked, then i don't want to get up incase i miss anything!!!
