I've had my first round of skin removal after losing 8 stone , I've had an FDL tummy tuck, lipo to my pubis and flanks. I wasn't happy about needing an FDL but doctor said it would give the best result I can later have laser resurfacing/cosmetic tattooing. He's removed 2kg of skin and sucked out 1kg of fat. The lipo bruising is actually more painful than the tummy tuck side..I'm hopefully going for another round next year to lift my lower back and bum then I will be done. I've touched my stomach and it's like I've done 1000 crunches at the gym beautifully tight absolutely amazed!!!

What's an FDL? How long after you lost the weight did you have the op? What happens if you regain weight?
I've lost that much before in my 30s and though there were parts that were a big saggy, not enough to need skin removal, I need to lose now and wonder how it will be this time round as I'm 60 and I've had kids.

It's a tummy tuck with an extra incision , It's very unlikely I'd gain much weight back as I had weight loss surgery which has been very very successful. I haven't gained any weight since having the op two years ago I actually have to work not to lose more weight I'm done having children as well , I'm 29. I guess I just want my body to match my weight the sagginess was irritating me.

I bet you can’t wait to be all healed and wearing new clothes!

Did you have the surgery privately or on the nhs? Did that influence where you could get your skin removal done?
I'd like yo do weight loss, surgery but at my age I'm concerned about excess skin afterwards abd the extra cost of getting it removed.
Congratulations on your loss and your operation. It must have changed your life.

I paid privately for both as I didn't want the waiting list thing or baffle for funding.. I've gone to Lithuania for which is cheaper than UK but quality is very very good I did a lot of research and didn't fancy turkey.. I have spent 7.5 k on procedures so far. Everyone speaks good English and the hospital is very good quality with excellent food. I'm staying for 2 weeks so I can have check ups . I'm going to save again in the next year to have my back lift/bum lift.. I think doing it in stages helps your body heal better as well.
