Feeling crap about my weight

I am 27, have a 10 month old and am 5 months pregnant. I'm feeling sad because I never lost my baby weight from DS1 and am now pregnant and naturally bigger than normal. I was just flicking through pre-pregnancy photos of myself and I actually looked great. None of my friends my age have kids and I was always the one who maintained myself so well. I feel crap and have no idea how busy mums stay fit and eat healthy. It was so much easier to just hit the gym and make tasty healthy food before kids ... Any advice?

(also feeling crap because DH if a 6ft3 hunk at the moment and I'm a 5ft6 whale)

I tell myself to just accept it is what it is at the moment, but have recognised it and making an attempt to lose. Expect it not to be plain sailing and never give up. Patience is needed too.

I always had the attitude that my body is growing a baby and doing an amazing thing, so my needs were unfortunately going to take a back-seat for a while. Once I'd given birth I prioritised exercise as a form of selfcare, even if I was only able to get out with the pram for a walk. Personally I've found it easier to lose weight with my second because you're non-stop running around.
Hope you feel better and good luck.

I am sure your DH doesn’t see you as a whale.

However if you are wanting to try exercise I know Kayla Itsines has an app called Sweat that has a pregnancy program on exercise and a post birth program.

If you are trying to loose weight by watching your calories then I would get advice from your midwife.

I am a member of the Les Mills on Demand and s lot of the women on there with toddlers seem to try and get the dc to join in with Shabam which is dance based or even with you weights or I even saw a video of a woman spinning with her dc on a stationary trike. Friends who have a home gym also had a play pen and lots of toys for their dc.

Talk to your DH and work together whatever you decide.

Thank you so much, those are great ideas!
