Coeliac/Gluten Free Weight Loss Chat

Hi all, wondering if there's anyone else in the same boat? I stopped eating gluten a few months ago for health reasons though am not diagnosed coeliac.
I need to lose approx half a stone and for some reason find it even harder with this dietary restriction! I find I snack a lot more than I ever did before going gluten free and my eating habits are generally a bit chaotic.
Anyone up for sharing meal ideas/a weight loss goal?

Its not advisable to take out gluten unless you meed to medically. It can cause issues when you go back on it as you may develop an intolerance.

I’m coeliac. I must say that snacking has never been an issue for me since being diagnosed at the age of 16 — there’s nothing worth snacking on!

Absolutely this ! We eat much more protein now than any carbs as we don't generally like the GF carbs ....

Sorry I'd lost track of this thread!
@Higgeldypiggeldy35 I already have an intolerance, that's why I cut it out. I may have to go back on if the Consultant I'm under thinks it's worthwhile testing for coeliac but I'm hoping not!

I hear you both @girljulian and @notapizzaeater it's harder to find snacks that are palatable- for me it's crisps/nuts and crackers with cheese. Realistically these have become more like lunch than snacks now.

I should look into increasing protein. I just find it very costly, though I imagine I could think outside the box a bit and go for lentils/beans.
