Just wondered if anyone had any tips for this please?

Is this a common thing? I've never heard of it happening due to weight loss before. I've lost 50lbs over the course of a year and didn't have any issues. Lost a total of 90lbs over 3 years. So a significant amount but no gallstones.

Are you doing a certain diet that would increase the likelihood of developing gallstones?

Don't have a very low fat or fat free diet. You need to have some fat in your diet to keep the bile flowing.

I don't think you can. I think you have the gallstones already but quick drastic weight loss causes them to move and that's where the problem starts

I think the main issue with gall stones and weight loss is if you try to lose weight too quickly. This can cause problems with bile and cholesterol release. Keeping weight loss to no more than 2lb per week should reduce the risk.

I had to have my gallbladder removed recently due to some huge stones. I lost over 5 stone several years ago, not particularly fast, so have no idea if that past weight loss contributed or not.
