Mine would be the eating biscuits! I'm such a lazy person when it comes to food and I also opt for convenience so rather than spending 5mins making a sandwich I'll stuff my face with crisps and biscuits. This was fine when I was in my 20s but my early 40s aren't being as kind to me.

Snacking! I can cook wonderful healthy meals then ruin everything by snacking.

It's so hard Isn't it?! I just can't seem to stop myself tho and yet in theory it should be so much easier than it seems.

I'm also partial to a few caramel lattes then getting a muffin/tray bake too

Yes. Why is it easier to eat something than not eat it? Usually it's way easier for a lazy arse like me to not do something, but I can't quite apply that to eating Hmm

Eating too much. I'm not really a snacked but if there's food in front me I'll generally eat it, all.

That late afternoon/early evening danger time when I know I'll be having dinner in a bit but can't stop myself finishing DS tea / snacking on chocolate as I cook.

Eating between meals.

For me it's eating the whole of something nice, not just a reasonable portion. Used to have a huge problem with sweet junk, biscuits and so on but I have managed to knock that on the head by just never eating any of that at home (DH has some snacks but they're in his own box and I don't ever touch them) outside of very special occasions like Christmas. But I seem to have transferred now onto ordinary foods like loaves of crusty bread or crackers and cheese where if I'm not careful I'll wolf the lot - some of it is if I am genuinely hungry or laziness from not being bothered to cook a proper meal but sometimes it's pure greed! Not sure what to do really as don't want to stop buying anything nice or carby/fatty (apart from anything else it's not fair on DH who's a skinny minny and absolutely does not need to restrict his diet) and not sure if I really want to cut these things out of my diet altogether but sheer willpower doesn't seem to be doing it?

I really hate waste, maybe it's a hangover from growing up poor. I need to accept that kids leftovers and food that is on its last legs is better in the bin than my stomach.

It's really interesting that so many of us are the same. I have always been a grazer but I honestly think that if I watched myself in action I would be flabbergasted at how much mindless eating I actually do. I always seem to be eating something be it a sweet or a bit of something or a wee taste of the kids chocolate or crisps and even if I'm not hungry and DH will come in with a plate of toast, I'll still mange to eat half. I cought sight of myself in the changing rooms in a well known shop and was astounded how big, broad and bulky I was. I used to be a size 10 and would freak out if I felt my clothes getting tighter, I don't know how I've met myself get this big but I need to start thinking more seriously about my health !

Eating the same amount as my husband. I put on a stone after a few months of living together due to eating the same portions. No other changes.

I always feel hard done by dishing up a smaller plate 😂 I know MN doesn’t like ‘penis portions’- but I don’t need the bigger steak, or the larger portion of friends or as much as a heaped bowl of pasta as my 6 foot+, muscular and active DH.
