What size do you think you naturally are?

I wear a size 10 but I feel like if I watched what I ate and exercised and was healthier I would be a size 6-8 as my frame is quite small. What size are you and what do you think your natural size is?

Rebel2023 · 08/01/2023 18:10

14 probably
5ft 10, broad shoulders, big feet/wrists, large boobs (32E at 14) etc
I think I was a size 12 last when I was 16

JamSandle · 08/01/2023 18:11

I think naturally with an active lifestyle I'm a size 8/10 with naturally big boobs. When I'm sedentary and eat processed I'm more a 12.

MadMadMadamMim · 08/01/2023 18:16

I was always a size 12 from age 14ish to about 40. Now, post menopause, late 50s and greedy with my food, I'm a size 18.

To be honest, I would probably have fitted in a today's size 10 when I was young, as sizes seem to be 'vanity sized' nowadays.

TheLeadbetterLife · 08/01/2023 18:20

Size 14 / 42 for me. I am tall with a large frame (wrist about 7”), and muscular.

There is also a layer of fat over the muscle at the moment, so I’m nudging a 16 / 44, but at my ideal weight I’m a 14.

Montague22 · 08/01/2023 18:25

I’m 5ft 10 and a 10 top and 10/12 bottom. The wrist thing measures me at 6 inches and ‘small frame’ which I think is correct, I am ‘small boned’. Just done my bmi, it is currently 20.8, my weight only fluctuates by a few pounds. With my frame I think my weight should be the lower end of the bmi range. I could actually be a stone lighter and still not be ‘underweight’, but could also be 2.5 stone heavier and not be ‘overweight’.

LindorDoubleChoc · 08/01/2023 18:28

I'm 5'2" and think I am naturally a 10 to 10.5 stoner. I have small hands, feet and wrists under 5.5" but have only weighed under 9 stone when I was in my 20s, rushing around everywhere, never eating actual meals and smoking 20 cigarettes a day.

I would be happy to be 10 stone now - currently nearly 2 stone over this!

SisterAgatha · 09/01/2023 13:22

My BMI is 27 so I am still technically overweight at a size 10 on top because of my blasted bum. I look so scrawny at BMI 26 and under and people ask if I’m keeping alright etc 🤣

I’m quite happy where I am, I just bought a nike running top in extra small so if I can do that “overweight” then I’m happy. My wrists also measure small and I’m 5ft 3.

BethDuttonsTwin · 09/01/2023 13:23

12, I can get down to a 10 but it’s hard work and a constant battle to stay there. I can stay a size 12 with no effort.

user1634987 · 09/01/2023 13:27

Size 12-14, I'm 5'10 and wrist 6.5 inch, I am size 12-14, I used to diet down to a 12 but don't bother now I'm mid 60s, My BMI is about 22.5

imnotthatkindofmum · 09/01/2023 13:27

If I was normal healthy a size 12-14. Currently a 16-18. I'm only 5ft6 but for most of my adult life never been below a 12 even when I was running marathons.....although that was a good reason to eat a lot of cake tbh

Caramac555 · 09/01/2023 13:32

I'm 5ft6 and a stong build. I should be about a 12 and 10 stone 4. I looked good at that size.

I'm currently a size 18 and frankly, I'm fat. I genuinely don't think I could be a size 8.

SallySunrise · 09/01/2023 13:35

Naturally I'm a 18-20, this is because i really like eating and hate exercise. I think I look and feel my best around a size 12. Might even get there one day

AutumnOcean · 09/01/2023 13:40

5ft 7 and naturally a size 8 on top and 10 on the bottom. Currently 10 on top and 12 on the bottom due to a little baby weight and muscle gain. Not sure I'll ever be a 10 again after kids.

schnubbins · 09/01/2023 13:45

I think I am a natural 14 .I have been a 12 for parts of my life and am now size 16 at 5ft 10 with a large frame .I feel my best at a loose 14 and I am trying so hard to get down to that size at the moment.

Youcunnyfunt · 09/01/2023 14:19

My frame is small, but I don't think my metabolism is great. I'm pretty active - consistently work out several times a week with elevated heart rate. Some strength but no heavy weights anymore (don't have the time with other hobbies).

I was naturally tiny as a teenager with a high metabolism, but as I starved myself, it never really recovered. I have to work at staying slim. Like everyone else. It's not "easy". I eat very healthily compared to 90% of my peers. I consistently exercise. But I'm still never smaller than an 8-10.

As a teenager, I wore kids clothes and wore size 4 (or 00 from Gap). Size 6 clothes used to be taken in to fit properly.

So, it's possible on my frame to be 45-49Kg, but in reality I tend to be around 58-64Kg.

"Naturally" means nothing, really. My current lifestyle (despite being healthy) won't allow me to drop several kgs.

ForTheSakeOfThePenguin · 01/06/2023 17:09

Naturally? I should be a 20 but I keep myself as 14-16 through a lot of exercise and trying not to eat far too much.

It is not all about bone structure, I am tall and have a slim frame that made me look like a spaghetti when I was a teenager but hormonal change due to pregnancy/age/menopause is a killer!

Dinosaurhearmeroar · 01/06/2023 17:56

I think I’m a size 10 but with exercise I’m a size 8 but family tells me it doesn’t suit me.

LunaNorth · 01/06/2023 17:58

Always a 14. Whenever I get smaller, it’s back
up to a 14 in six months. If I’m slim, I’m 12-14, during my chunky times, it’s 14-16.

14 seems to be my body’s happy place.

Goldencup · 01/06/2023 18:02

5ft5" 9st 3. Larger size 8 or smaller size 10. 26 inch waist. I can stay here without too much difficulty.

Peachtoiletpaper · 01/06/2023 18:03

I take a neuro medication that makes me put on weight so am a 14 or thereabouts. My 'fighting weight' is a 10-12 as I have quite a big frame, broad shoulders and hips plus a small waist. I don't really get smaller than this but it's about my best size. Doesn't sound like a huge difference but you can really tell around my face and midriff.

Menora · 02/06/2023 15:28

I’m not tall but I have a broad frame I think especially on the bottom. I’ve not been slim since I turned into an adult literally since age 19. I think I am probably meant to be a size 12, but I found that almost impossible to maintain tbh. A low end comfy 14 is good for me and realistic. I am a 16 at the moment but it’s a good 2 stone or more to get to that size

BusyCaz · 02/06/2023 19:04

Blimey I knew i had a large frame, but even so that calculator surprised me. I'm 5ft 2in size 5-6 feet and a 7 inch wrist 😮

Dacadactyl · 02/06/2023 19:23

I'm a size 10 in most places at the minute and can eat what I want to stay at this size.

However, for me to look my best at size 8 I need to watch what I eat and exercise regularly. Then I look toned and better but for various reasons I've not been bothering recently.

Toastedtoacrisp · 02/06/2023 20:50

I seem to be around a 10 at my most robust although 6/8 when suffering IBS flares. I am 49 and in meno. I do yoga and some cardio.
I am 5'4, very slight and have small feet Grin

Many women are my size but much heavier, and some are much taller and same weight. It is all so weird and arbitrary, impossible to find a real average amongst humans really. I think we just know when we feel at our best - and not just vanity but true contentment.

IsItHalfTermYetHelp · 04/06/2023 15:29

Naturally large. Come from a line of large women. About a size 18. Would love to be a natural waif! Have been thin but only via an eating disorder so now have a metabolism that wants to store every calorie.
