Ladies, I've been trying to clean up my diet and for two weeks I've been incredibly proud of myself. Yes, I have had the odd Kit Kat or packet of crisps but overall I've been really good (before I was eating sausage and bacon butties for breakfast, lunch and dinner)! The weight is slowly coming off (like, really slowly) but it's a sprint not a marathon and the best change is my mental health has improved no end! Hurray! I'm drinking about two litres of water everyday but I'm always hungry! What are your best healthy and savoury snacks (I love a chocolate biscuit with a cuppa). Today I've had an apple and two Ryvita (one with a slice of smoked salmon and the other with gorgeous roasted baby tomatoes) but I'm still ravenous! Look forward to hearing all your inspiring snacks xxxx also, is anyone on my fitness pal and would like to be friends? I find it really motivating x

Carrots/peppers/cucumber and caramelised onion hummus. Sugar snap peas (on their own). Rice cakes with peanut butter. Punt of strawberries. Half an avocado and vinaigrette. Low fat cottage cheese in half a cantaloupe.
I also get those individual packs of 99 calorie crisps - if I get a big bag I eat a big bag.

Oh thanks @mondaytosunday I snack on so much fruit and veg but it never fills me up! Maybe my calorie deficit is set too low?

Hey op, amazing well done for making a change, and so glad to see it’s helping your MH
i think the first thing to consider is Do you mean healthy or do you mean low calorie, because they aren’t the same thing.
If you’re hungry and eating fruit all the time you will likely be racking up calories.

if you are wondering if your deficit is too low, You need to consider how many calories are you eating Vs how many are you burning? And if the snacks are filling. A banana will be more filling than some sugary grapes. Some protein will likely be more filling than both of those options. But fruit still has plenty of calories.
try to pick some things with more protein. Carrot sticks and hummus, apple and peanut butter, meat, nuts, Greek yog. Also look at your meals because if they’re balanced you’ll need to snack less.

if you’re asking about low cal snacks then ice lolly’s, low Cal crisps, popcorn, a skinny latte, frozen grapes.

What has MFP put you at? I think a 500 a day calorie deficit is fine if slow and sustainable is what you want - that's about a pound a week.
I put in a sedentary even though I work out a couple hours a week, and adjusted it up. I do not count my exercise calories back - MFP way overestimates calories burned.
I find I can lose about a kilo a week if I stick to 1700 calories a day and make sure I walk at least 8000 steps. My danger is I have a real sweet tooth and just love to eat!
I think less than 1500 a day is very hard to sustain.
