And while I am at it can anything be done about my bingo wings and belly?

I lost 54lbs about 3/4 yrs ago - I have kept the weight off but there are bits of me that are quite flabby

I weight 10st 7lbs & I am a comfy size 14/16 but not Terribly over weight - my BMI is 25

Any ideas?

My friend got that "Kissing disease" last year, as she was exposed to it in college...
I can't for my life think of the actual name right now....lol.....
Pfeiffersches Druesenfieber in german, lol...

Glandular ever?

OP posts:
3andnomore · 20/01/2008 00:18

That is the one..although you probably would know if you had it, as it is meant to be very painful....

3andnomore · 20/01/2008 00:19

Oh, obviously water retention can be a real problem, and all sort of infections can get you to retain water....

KatyMac · 20/01/2008 00:20

I was tested for it 5 times in 4 yrs as a teenager - turns out I had ME

I think this is the same virus I had before Christmas

possible...don't know which virus you had though, lol..
but yeah, viral infections are real devils....playing havoc with our systems...

KatyMac · 20/01/2008 09:51

oh dear, poor you

fedda · 20/01/2008 22:06

3andnomore, how are you? I was missing your posts you used to send on on www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1378/377428

3andnomore · 20/01/2008 22:12

OH...feeling all fat and unfit right now, lol....must start doing somehting about it again....sigh...and I did so well last year and then changed from imp[lant to pill and after minipill didn't work to a combined one...and since I have been constantly hungry...

other then that I am good, and feeling positive, as hopefully I will start a degree in September (Occupational Therapy)...and I can't wait to start.

How are you doing?

fedda · 20/01/2008 22:26

I also was doing well but just before Christmas, when some presents started to arrive un wrapped and i could see they were chockies, do I need to continue? Your guess is right, espessially the once with nuts - my weekness! In Christmas I had some people staying with us, so overeating and teas and coffees with biscuits and chocolates became norm. I started to go back to eating more sort of sensibly but with faults from 7/01. I'm not following any diet any more, I just try to include fruit and veg in my meals and I still have water rather then juice with my meals. My weight is not as much as it was before I started but more compare with November. I feel positive though as well.

OP posts:
fedda · 20/01/2008 22:39

Oh, poor you. I hope it will go tomorrow.

3andnomore · 20/01/2008 22:45

hm...that sounds weird katy...

3andnomore · 20/01/2008 22:50

you sure it isn't glandular fever....

KatyMac · 20/01/2008 23:01

Well weird

No I don't think I am ill enough for glandular fever (no fever to start off with)

OP posts:
3andnomore · 20/01/2008 23:04

It's just with you mentioning a rash...but it probably is just somehting simple, eh...

KatyMac · 20/01/2008 23:13

It's a virus

It always is

But I will see the GP

OP posts:
3andnomore · 20/01/2008 23:19

lol, isn't like EVERYTHING a virus?

fedda · 20/01/2008 23:26

lol, does your GP knows what it is?

3andnomore · 21/01/2008 21:51

anywya, how did it go at the Gp's, and how are you feeling?

KatyMac · 21/01/2008 23:05

Umm didn't actually get there - but don't worry it isn't growing seems a bit smaller & hurts like hell doesn't hurt as much today

I'll get to the DR tomorrow

OP posts:
fedda · 21/01/2008 23:07
