Or in hols and just wondering if anyone has taken this on a flight?

The boots website says it's fine to take, but other sources say I need a printed prescription?

Thanks 😊

What are the other sources? If it's the airline, I would follow their guidance. If not, contact the airline to find out.

I wouldn't worry, I take loads of medications on flights to all sorts of countries.
Some are prescribed, some are not.
I've never been stopped

I realise I'm lucky and that you should travel with appropriate prescriptions but I just take the chance

As long as you're not travelling with 900 opioids I think you'll be ok

Thanks everyone.

Other sources I can't remember!

It's not it's medication per se but you need needles as it a sub- cutaneous injection.

Just an update if anyones interested. I contacted boots online doctor messaging and they sent a letter no problem at all.

Great customer service.

Should have done that in the first place rather than just googling'etc!

Hi, the letter you got from boots, was it a prescription? Or an actual doctor’s letter?

thanks

I have just flown with saxenda in my hand luggage, with 1 pack of needles and small sharks case, no issues at all. Like you I did ask for a letter confirming the prescription as the prescriptions stickers with me name on are on the boxes of the pens and not the pens themselves. As it turns out I totally forgot to take the letter and no one batted an eye!

It was hot and I was unsure on temps so I did get a frio travel wallet and stored the pen in that

Sharps not sharks!

As a Type 1 diabetic I've had to carry needles on every flight I've ever been on. I have to carry a Dr's letter saying I'm prescribed needles and it is essential for me to carry them in my hand luggage, but I've only ever been asked to show the letter a few times and always at foreign airports. I'm not sure if this would be the same with a non-life saving drug or whether you would need to pack them in your hold luggage.
