Why am I not losing weight?

I've cut out junk food and binges. Started exercising everyday and in the last few days started trying to get 10,000 steps in. I'm a daily weigher for the most part. I'm flexible ish with diet eg had two bits of cake two days ago, had an Ince cream at the weekend because a few months ago I was binging on sugary treats every day so feel like one every now and then shouldn't be so bad but is this what is stalling my weight loss?

I'm really enjoying the exercise. Feel so much stronger already, just climbing the stairs, jeans are slightly looser but the scales ARE NOT SHIFTING! It's so annoying.

I'm worried that I need to calorie count as I find this really hard to maintain. I'm a teacher so can manage for the next couple of weeks but when term starts again I just find it drops down my priority list.

Just wanted to give a little update. I know its not been ages but I feel like I hit a milestone today that I wanted to share. I've carried on doing a 20 min HIIT everyday and walking 10,000 steps most days but I've also started doing 8:16 and added a lot more protein in (protein powder, tofu, eggs, beans, lentils, chickpeas, Greek yoghurt) and not going over 1,800 cals. The scales have been frustratingly stubborn and the progress pics don't show anything yet but I put a skirt on today that I've not been able to zip up the last 2 inches and today the zip went all the way up! Thanks for all the tips.

Glad you are seeing results you need to have a rest day from the HIIT though, as your body needs to recover.

I've been doing mon-sat hiit and Sunday off. Shouldn't have said everyday as not quite what I meant. Holiday is next week. We'll be doing lots of walking/constantly active during the day but I might try and do some runs or something as don't want to lose my mojo right before the new term starts.

Do some proper exercise. Walking is a slow way of getting from point A to point
B.

Get on with some HIIT.

Walking is great exercise and very good for mental health actually. I also do hiit 6 days a week, as mentioned in the first and last post so not sure what you're getting at?

Well if you are walking briskly you can be improving cardiovascular health so that's a load of tosh (not the word I actually want to use)
@JerryGarcia Intermediate fasting essentially just reduces your calories by reducing time you can eat. The advice about protein PP have given is sound.
Advice I like is 'nutrition drives the fat loss car and exercise is the passenger (Susan Niebergall, over on Instagram)
But HIIT is not really the brilliant thing that it's cracked up to be, and the calorie burn is not significantly greater, nor is appropriate to do that amount of intense exercise relative to lower intensity stuff on a weekly basis.

I don't think anyone else has mentioned is strength training- increasing your muscle mass so that your metabolic rate is actually higher etc.
