It's a Monday. I'm starting back on MFP and want to be accountable. Anyone else?

I know you should start a diet whenever but I find that mentally if I start on a Monday it 'face it' with a better mindset. So this morning I started recording everything that passes my lips on MFP. Holidays are over, so no regular temptations in my way now. I feel good about it. I lost a stone and a half a year ago but then decided to be a little less strict, and now I want to drop half a stone or a stone again. I found doing CICA worked for me so I'm motivated by that now. I just wanted to post here so be accountable (to myself if nobody else). Anyone else started on their weight loss journey today?

I'm still doing OK. The only day I may have strayed was Saturday when we went to some friends' for lunch. But I managed to not overeat and focus on the healthier foods. Today I'm 100% back on track so far. I like how I'm already feeling less bloated and am looking forward to feeling my clothes fit better.

I have hit my weekly weight loss goal of 2pounds so I am really happy with that. I am finding the cravings are getting fewer, I wasn’t even tempted to look at the ice cream section today while shopping 💪glad you all are doing a fab job! Well done on your first run as well!

Well done @IRememberXanadu sounds like your in the right place mentally, it’s not about not doing enjoyable things like going out for meals but making good choices or giving yourself the day to eat what you want and going straight back to healthy afterwards.
I agree with you on the bloat situation, it’s only been a few days and my stomach is definitely feeling so much better.
Huge congrats on the 2lb weekly loss @LongStoryShorty that’s a brilliant achievement.
I am way over on calories today, I have the week off work and haven’t managed a run. Couldn’t leave ds whilst dp was at work then this evening was a rush with karate lessons to take to and cooking tea. I planned to go after karate but before eating but I’m due my droid any day now and keep getting cramps so decided to give it a miss. I am going to set an alarm and try to go in the morning before dp goes to work 🤞🏻
I have stuck to my healthy eating plan today with granola with banana for breakfast, poached egg on toast for lunch then some fruit with yogurt, a protein shake later afternoon and spaghetti bolognaise for tea but it was about 500 over the 1200 I’ve set, really don’t know why I’ve set it that low as it’s not manageable for me but I am very aware of what I’m eating and still logging even though I’m often over 🤷🏻‍♀️The chocolate cravings are definitely easing and I’m finding it much easier to have a smaller amount or even none at all some evenings. I will weigh tomorrow morning to see where I am at after a good initial loss when I weighed Sunday and hope it’s not someone gone back up

I def failed with my eating today! The food I had was healthy as I had lentil soup and salmon and green veg for dinner but I ate a whole tony’s chocolonely bar! Terrible… don’t think I will weigh myself in the morning as I don’t want it to demotivate me. I did well with exercise though as I did 20min on the bike and 1hr walk from which I jogged 20min. Hopefully I can do better during the weekend. I wish getting fit was 80% exercise and 20% diet and I wouldn’t struggle so much 🙄chocolate is definitely my weakness but I really just want to get ride of all the belly fat I have, for both health and fitness reasons… i guess if I could give it up for two weeks it will be easier after that. As that’s how long they say for the ravings to stop. I do know a healthy recipe for ‘chocolate’ made with nuts dates and coocnut oil and raw cocoa powder. I can share the recipe if someone wants. Anyone wanting to stop chocolate with me for two weeks?

Lots of inspiration on this thread, I'm on holidays this week so will start next week when I am back home.

I'd love the healthy chocolate recipe please @LongStoryShorty.

I'm hoping it's like a Bounty bar because it has coconut in it

Eggs are your friend (or at least mine). I may have mentioned it above but they are a great snack if you hard boil them in batches. I guess the hot weather is also helping as I don't crave food as much as I do during the colder months.

Still on track. How's everyone else doing?

Weekend away - I've strayed. Not horribly but I'll need to be ever more careful next week.
