Just read the Glucose Revolution by Jessie Inchauspé, the "glucose goddess" You can glean enough info from her Instagram to get going tbh.

Has anyone read this book/insta and putting any of the "hacks" into practice? Would be great to share ideas, results and food inspiration here.

Nobody?

Ways I put the "hacks" into practice today -

Apple cider vinegar before my 3 meals
Started with a veg starter
Ate in the veg - protein/fat - carbs order
10 minutes of exercise after 2 of my meals
Sugar (ice cream lolly) straight after a meal

Hopefully, some of that made a difference to my glucose spikes!

My meals - breakfast was eggs, avocado and half a buttery. I ate the avo first but not sure if this counts as a fibre/veg for starting the meal with? Then at the egg followed by most of the bread.

Lunch was chargrilled veg eaten first then some mixed into whipped feta, roasted chickpeas. Had a Magnum lolly after this.

Dinner was courgette/peas/spinach/mint eaten first, then seabass followed by some potatoes.

Yes I have the book and I’ve been putting all the “hacks” (ugh, what’s wrong with “tips”?) into practice for a few weeks now. I’m not so much doing it for weight loss as I’m maintaining now, but it’s interesting stuff from an overall health perspective.

Ah, great to see someone else trying it! I do need to lose weight, but I am recovering from cancer so need to balance my health now.

Which of the tips do you find easiest to include? I find the exercise the hardest due to work, but to be honest they are all pretty easy to implement.

The exercise is hardest to remember, certainly. I work out three times a week, so I've moved when I do my workouts to about 30 mins after eating any carbs (I'm fairly low carb anyway). I go for long, brisk walks with the dog every day as well, but they have to be in the evenings as it's hot where I live.

Sometimes I set an alarm on my phone after eating dinner and do a bit of walking on the spot while I'm watching TV, but as I said I tend not to eat that much sugar day to day, so I don't worry about it much.

I go completely off piste when I'm eating out, and will have bread, potatoes, pudding, so I have a vinegary salad as a starter now. I need to try to add a walk in afterwards somehow, but that's really the last thing you feel like doing after a nice meal out.

The other tips are very easy to incorporate - eating in order, drinking vinegar etc.

Today so far, I have managed to have a savoury breakfast (shakshuka), ate the veg first, had vinegar before, went for a small walk after and my snack has been a handful of nuts. All without thinking about it much!

I've just started it - been doing the vinegar hack (thought it was just once a day though, not before every meal?) Keen to lose weight whilst maintaining good health, and to find a sustainable way to eat, which I think this is.
