Hi everyone I'm 23. 4 years ago I went from 9st 5 to 12st 3. I got pregnant, gave birth and my new weight was 14st 13.

It's been 2 years and I'm now down to 11st 9lb. For my body, I'm still pretty big. I've been stuck at this weight for about 6 months now, I keep giving in to bad foods but this time I'm sticking with it.

My partners just got a tredmill and I've been going on it every morning and evening, I push myself to run then will do a light jog or fast walk if I need to catch my breath. I sweat alot and I feel good after. I've been doing about an hour a day for 4 days, increasing speeds and makeing sure I'm constantly challenging myself. I've been eating less and healthier. I'm starving when I go to bed, even hungrier in the mornings. I'm eating veggies, fruit, smaller portion sizes for my main meals. I'm eating around 1.3k calories (I still breastfeed so I don't wanna go too low).

Nothing is happening when usially I'd of lost atleast 1lb by now. Peviously I ate 1.3k calories a day and lost about 2lb a week? Why, after all the excersise and sweating am I still the same??? I'm doing more??? Its disheartening :(

It's been 4 days so give it a bit more time. Exercising uses up surprisingly few calories - look on it as a means to improve your fitness and mental health, not a way to lose weight.

It’s diet rather than exercise though, and it needs to be consistent calorie deficit to lose weight. If you aren’t weighing and accurately tracking calories it’s easy for those “around 1.3k calories” to actually be closer to 1.8k. You may need to change what you are eating though as if you are going to bed hungry and waking up hungry you won’t be able to stick to eating so little. Fruit and veg is great but a small banana and apple can be 100 calories each so 3 pieces of fruit a day could be 100+ calories. Try upping your lean protein to keep you fuller and satisfied for longer. If you are logging on MFP or similar don’t log exercise as it gives you calories burned back as additional calories to eat. Many people complain that if they eat back those earned calories they don’t lose. It seems to overestimate calories burned.

Yep agree. You don't need to be exercising like a demon, but I think you do need to properly track your calories...

I found it impossible to lose weight when I was breastfeeding. My body clung on to every single calorie to feed the child.

you need to stop weighing yourself and start measuring yourself with a tape measure instead. If you are doing a lot of exercise then your weight may not be changing but it doesn't mean that your shape is still the same.

start measuring the inches rather than the pounds and you might find the exercise and careful eating is working.

How tall are you OP?

I'm in the same situation. I need to lose about 10 LBs but can't shift it. I'm 11 stone 3, so not obese.

I swim for an hour 5 times a week. I do 2 x 30 min weight sessions a week. I hike every other weekend (when DD is at her Dad's). It's a proper 10 mile 500m ascent hike. I should be burning 1500 to 2000 cals a week through exercise but I'm just not losing weight.
